With some games, a message comes up that the graphics driver is out of date. There has been an issue with the gaphic driver, but maybe this can be resolved.

Great design with media controls on the left, fantastic screen quality and size, blue ray drive, set-up worked well out of the box (once loaded with the preinstalled iamge).
Good wireless range from built-in bluetooth and wifi.
This was a refurb but was in truly mint condition with no marks, dust, dints or anything. I have seen new stuff that was not so perfect as this. If this is the usual standard then buying this way to be recommeneded because the spec / price (at the time) was completely unbeatable.
-
Battery doesnt last long at all (couple of hours).
The keybord is a little poor and a bit "bouncy". I had an old HP latop that was like that. My work Dell Inspiron has a keyboard that seems to work better.
Installing the preloaded image and making the back-up DVDs took what seemed to be a very long time.
The PSU was a "LiteOn" branded one.
The laptop is very big (because of the screen) and even though stated to 16" at least a 17" size case is needed.

Ridiculous number of features. During the first fortnight I was continuing to discover more things that I hadn't realised it came with. Speakers are very good considering it's a laptop, the screen is really good. The webcam was so ridiculously easy to set up in Windows Live Messenger it made my old webcam blush.
-
The fingerprint detection thing takes over your browser if any .htaccess authentication is asked for, although it took some time to figure out what was going on. Could not turn off the fingerprint detection software easily, ended up having to kill the process!

Extremely impressive price-performance ratio, with a spec that will handle video editing and casual gaming for some time to come. The Blu-ray drive adds even more value although I've not used it myself and may not do so for some time to come (not a movie man myself!).
I love the design, and most other people who've seen it do as well. The touch-sensitive media console always draws attention, and it's actually quite useful too (although the volume control is too coarse).
Obviously no netbook in terms of portability, but easily fits into a large backpack and light enough to take out and about with you - which I've done ever since I got it and it's served me well.
Speaker system is good enough to not need external speakers unless you're quite fussy or want anti-social volumes, and audio quality through good headphones is impressive too due to the Dolby Headphone technology.
-
While light enough to lug about in a backpack, it's heavy enough to make cheap backpack shoulder straps fall apart in weeks!
The screen is very impressive in terms of brightness, and the 16:9 ratio makes a lot of sense, but using it outside isn't a pleasant experience due to being glossy and hence reflective. Works well as a mirror though!
It's got Vista, so usual issues apply there (although in my experience, it's less bad than many say).
Some may dislike the plastic-feeling keyboard, although personally I don't. It's an excellent layout with a nice big right Shift key, which to me is pivotal and lacking in too many laptops.

- Brilliant battery life
- Great specs for gaming
- Graphics card and laptop doesn't get hot even when running many programmes or games (my last Sony laptop with equivalant graphics card melted!)
- Generally nice design
Has touch pad on left to control sound, stop, play, fast forward etc functions.
- Good large screen for watching films and gaming
- Really good quality speakers for a laptop
-
- It's pretty heavy, even more so than a number of other gaming laptops
That's really all I could fault it on so far. I'm really happy with it.

(+) Excellent delivery speed - a day earlier than expected
(+) Amazing specification for the price - runs like a dream; didn't realise GPU used Hypermemory, so up to 1.7GBs of RAM towards graphics! Runs Warhammer: Mark of Chaos on High on everything!
(+) Comfortable in laptop shoulder bag, 16" screen is great halfway-house between 15.4" & 17"
(+) Amazing design, love the touchpad for changing volume etc; classy look
(+) Inclusion of Blu-Ray player is amazing for the price! Haven't used it as yet but put YouTube videos on High Quality and look amazing
-
( - ) Mouse touchpad can become annoying and move the mouse unnecessarily, but use a mouse so not a big deal
( - ) Keyboard is a little bit too bouncy but once again only minor negative
( - ) Touchpad for volume control sometimes doesn't turn on at startup, & needs resetting (inconsistent & not sure how to solve this, but happens a minority of the time)
( - ) Few minor scratches on the lid, but nit-picking really
( - ) Says graphics card driver is out of date but I have updated it on the site

what amazed me with this laptop is all its features like the cinedash controls for all the media, the built in webcam which despite its low pixels is very clear, the bio finger print reader which remembers all youre password for youre website logins and windows and you just have to swipe youre finger over it.
also the performance of it ime a fan of command and conquer and i found that i was able to run all the newer versions on it even with the graphics set to max and there wasnt a glitch or drop in performance
-
ive found sometimes the cinedash controls are a bit insensitive when trying to adjust the volume and that also the hold button is quite easy to touch when not meaning to, ive also experienced a few problems whith it booting up into acer arcade

It looks amazing! The screen is clear, bright, has a good contrast ratio and viewing angle. The design is very sleak and has some nice touches (such as the media touch panel). The Aspire 6920G is really easy to use, once you've got everything loaded, which took a while first time. Performance is A grade, handles complex games such as Sims 3 easily, multi window tasking is also easily swallowed. Great multimedia laptop, media touchpad is a very nice addition. HDMI output means you can browse HD trailers and enjoy gaming in large format on your HD TV screen. Easy to use keyboard.
-
It's a big laptop, but then its' primary function is home entertainment. Haven't fully tested the battery life yet, but it does run down fairly quick if web-browsing away from a power source. The media touchpad has completely locked, which seems to be a common problem to the whole Aspire range, but is easily fixed by unplugging the power source and taking out the battery. Ours was bought as a refurbished laptop. First one had a problem with the speaker, but the replacement is working fine.

Finger print reader works great - can use instead of passwords or to open web pages and programmes. Different sound settings for different things eg. movies, games, different genres of music. Touch sensitive media controls - so cool :D. THE GRAPHICS are awesome - HIGH DEF. Blu ray. Smooth to type, nice keyboard . PRICE was amazing (what i paid from currys (add discount coupons) is cheap). Battery life is adequate enough but seeing as its a powerful laptop I've got it plugged in 95% of the time anyway.
-
some media control accelerator thing warning pops up every time i log on, don't no the problem? Bit heavy but is to be expected from powerful laptop. touch pad is to be expected from an Acer so its not exactly smooth but you get used to it. Looks fantastic, very sleek, and not particularly heavy or unwieldy for the screen size.
The screen is bright and vibrant, and has very good viewing angles.
Keyboard is very nice, and the media controls on the left-hand side are genius.
Battery life is very reasonable, I get around 2.5 hours on balanced settings.
Performance is excellent, graphics card can handle newer games; Sims 3 plays very smoothly on medium settings, and it can run Everquest on full settings no problem for example. Vista boots up suprisingly quickly once you get rid of most of the Acer bloatware.
It doesn't seem to get hot even with intensive tasks and remains very quiet when under load.
Truly a fantastic bargain, higly recommmended.

Stylish and seems to work well. Keyboard I found to be a little larger than my previous laptop. I liked this feature but it wasn't on the blub when I bought the machine.
The lights remind you to turn the machine off so I guess this makes you a little more "green".
-
Set up was a little time consuming as this machine came with so many acer additional features. Make sure you want all of the features as they take a long time to remove.
Nice wide screen for movies has limited use when compiling vertical spreadsheets.
