+ This is a great laptop for home multimedia use, movies, hooking up to the tv, etc... The remote is a great idea to work with this - but to be honest I still use a wireless mouse anyway so it's a little redundant.
-
The battery life is really poor on the standard setting. I'm sure it would improve if I selected low power options but I've not been bothered because I've never had to take it out away from a power source - it's a home type laptop.
The only real main gripe is the ease of set-up with the Blu-Ray feed into an HD tv. Still haven't mastered it - it's not a matter of plug and play with the HDMI cable. Web forum's describe multiple way's to remedy this by addressing various potential faults... but it would be easier if you didn't have to.

+ This is my first laptop and I love it, its stylish and has everythin I want it to do. I bought this laptop for mainly playing The Sims 3, which it does amazingly well, everything is on high settings, I love it. The sound is also awsome.
- Erm i'd probably like a longer lasting battery but as this is my first laptop and (I use it ALOT) I dont really know how long they are supose to last, it doesnt bother me though as it stays in one place most of the time so I can easily charge it up.

+ This is a very high performance laptop offering top quality design with excellent visual performance. I have purchased several laptop computers in the past but this is without doubt the best value for money laptop I have ever purchased. I would recommend this product and this company to a friend and that is rare.
- I cannot think of any obvious bad points.

+ The screen is a really good size, and the media control buttons to the left of the keyboard are really useful and simple, yet showy. It's crammed with features. The fingerprint scanner makes access easy as pie, and the built in TV Tuner is a blessing being able to record live TV and then use other Windows programs to crop out the adverts. I Integrated Blu-ray drive is also useful as that is the way forward for digital media, so it's good to be prepared.
- The laptop can be a little weighty, but in honesty most laptops have sacrificed some mobility for functionality, and I think it's a fair trade off. The only problem I've encountered is the main fan blows air effectively onto the screen. This is fine for normal usage, but under heavy demands, it can cause the laptop to quite hot.

+ Great for watching films and listening to music. I've not run any games on it but have yet to experience any performance issues or much slow down
- Even with power saving options the battery lasts about 90 mins at best, understandable I guess given the resources it can run.

Powerful CPU & graphics card - runs GTA IV well.
Great screen & sound.
A lot of software and gadgets (but poorly documented).
No ports/sockets on the back edge.
Built in bluetooth for mouse/audio/comms
-
Too much blue lighting when on AC.
Audio control pretty but not useful - would have been better to have had a number pad.
c: formatted as 2x160gb partitions - easily changed in Vista.
Too many stickers on wrist rest - put them underneath on base.

+ Vast range of features and connectivity, nice built-in sound.
- Don't like the lid design (smaller than the base) which makes it awkward to get hold of the edge to lift it, other than by the side or a corner which could stress the lid/hinges. Supplied with plastic plugs to cover the power connector and lock attachment when not in use but they keep falling out. Touchpad a bit rough for my liking and I think that a matt screen (less reflections) and case (less fingermarks) would be more practical for day to day travelling.

+ Excellent design, good battery life for a laptop with this specification, Blu Ray player and Tv tuner an absolute bonus. Works perfect.
- Heavy, software sometimes tends to get stuck (very rarely), Inbuilt speakers aren't the best in the business although Dolby configuration for external speakers is good.

+ Stylish, looks good. Home theatre is very cool. Runs MMORPGs brilliantly (World of Warcraft).
- Battery life is short, unless you accept compromised performance quality. (Obviously this is fine once plugged in).

+ Excellent gaming laptop for the casual 'on the train into work' gamer. Amazing array of features and unbelieveable performance at an almost-budget price. Absolutely the best laptop I've ever owned.
- Only one slight down is the battery life. At just over an hour it could be better. If I could find a higher capacity battery I'd buy one in a heartbeat and turn this machine in to the greatest product on the planet. I know I'm being picky but it's the only thing that stops this machine getting 10/10

great performance and graphics, can play all the recent games, great blu ray drive/cd burner,
nice keyboard layout enough room to rest your wrists, blue tooth is handy for your phones.
- battery life tends to be quite low, especially when on high performance, the acer touch control panel on the left hand side isnt all that accurate, when your trying to select the volume it tends to jump 3-4 bars making it hard to get the correct volume forcing you to go to the volume control on the desktop.

+ Large screen and powerful.
- The rear feet on the underside make it uncomfortable on your lap.
