+ This laptop has excellent specs for the price. Big hard drive, lots of RAM, reasonable graphics card.

- Feels a bit flimsy, though I did drop mine down a short flight of stairs and there were no ill effects. And runs very hot when using graphics intensive applications.

Although it isn't the fastest laptop we've seen, the Acer's score was only three behind the record. And on one test in our benchmarking suite it stormed to a time that was some 20 percent faster than the WorldBench 5 control system. This is impressive stuff.
