+ I bought this laptop for mainly internet and gaming purposes and it's been very fast at perfoming both actions. The laptop has a good design and looks smart. It has fingerprint recognition that will help you keep all your passwords and important documentation secure.

- The only bad point that i can think of is that the battery seems to die out quite a lot. It appears to last between 2 and three hours. I haven't owned a laptop before so this may be the norm.

- Not full HD, 32bit Vista

+ Extemely fast, excellent screen, good sound, easy to work with.

- Sound not loud enough. Hard drive not 250 gig as stated but around 230 gig split into 4 partitions that cant be resized, one is 107 and another is 114 approx , the other 2 partitions are not visible and are used for recovery only.

+ Stylish, good spec, good all round entertainment laptop. Battery life actually pretty good for a laptop like this - for normal use it is well over 2 hours, more on powersaver.

- Too heavy and big to be portable, but it is intended as a desktop replacement so that shouldn't be an issue. Some of the installed Acer software plays up a bit, but it can easily be removed.

- Steep learning curve getting the blu ray output to work with my plasma and A/V amplifier, battery clips not strong enough ( a problem I had with a previous Acer laptop )
