+ Nice design and layout - easy to use keyboard

- Touchpad is very sensitive and so windows are opened when you rest the cursor in one place for too long and the zoom level changes when you don't mean it to.

+ We have 2 other Acers in the family so this is what we expected. A fast trouble free laptop.

- the manual didnt give me detailed enough instructions on how to use the pc and what programmes did what once it was running

+ solid design, fairly rugged for mobile use.
Budget system with good processor and 3gb ram, quite impressive.

- slightly heavy, nice polished top shows all finger marks.

+ Very quick, great for muti-tasking. Nice glossy design however this does attract alot of dust so a general wipe is needed now and again ! very quiet also.

- Battery life max of 3hrs away from the mains, however a full charge would be recommended as it seems to run down pretty quickly. Its also preloaded with alot of Acer bumpf (preloaded games, accessories etc) however these can be removed at a later date.

+ Was not sure at first as to whether or not i was making the right choice in purchasing this, but now i know i certainly did. Its fast, handles multi tasking very well and i am loving vista. Great value for money and would recommend to anyone.

+ It's great to have a laptop that isn't too intrusive, but yet still has a full size keyboard, with the number pad on the right. The laptop itself is very reponsive, and the clarity of the screen and colours are fab. The screen is a nice size too. The speed of the laptop is also great, it really puts my old laptop to shame. The webcam, my husband says, shows a clear image on the recieving end, and is easy to position. Overall, this is a great lttle laptop for the money, and would recommend it to anyone.

- The pinch zoom in and zoom out on the touchpad is a little too reponsive, it sometimes zooms in when you didn't mean it too. The black shiny top to the laptop, shows all finger prints etc, and being an odd size screen, it is difficult to find a skin that you can put onto it.

+ Very good specification for a good price. The design is modern and stylish, and the addition of a number pad on the keyboard was a key feature in the decision to purchase this laptop. The added bonus of a good quality touchpad with added "gesture functions is excellent and for those who use a webcam the quality of this one is also excellent. I have also had no problems setting th laptop up and the wireless internet function has good connectivity. All round a great value laptop for the normal everyday user.

+ nice large screen, nice keyboard

- All the unecessary trial software supplied, did not wish to use any of it as there is no explanation as to what exactly it does until you sign up for its use, an accompanying leaflet would be helpful to decide if these pieces of software would be useful to you and worthwhile trialing.

+ separate number pad - essential for financial spreadsheets. Slim, good size screen at reasonable price. Keypad comfortable to use

- When using word, the cursor moves to another location for no reason and you end up typing in the middle of a paragraph half way up the page - you literally have to check the screen every minute to ensure you are still in the right place - really rubbish - and Word was what I primarily purchased it for!!! Also, basic bugbares Vista - who needs it!! and only a trial version of Office - but don't panic I was able to upload Office Professional 2003 (old but does everything you need it to do) (but you have to uninstall all the trail Office stuff in order to stop the machine from defaulting back to it.

+ the means for having all my applications open at once is just great which ic could not dobefore on my old laptop

+ Fast. Handles Vista well with the 3gb RAM and 2ghz cpu. Nice big keyboard and the number pad is very useful. Nice clear wide screen. Great value. Most machines of similar spec cost more.

- sometimes the integrated scroller in the mouse scrolls when you just want to move the mouse but I think that's down to me not being familiar with it. once I'm used to it it'll be ok.

+ Good size screen and keyboard nice to type on. Good clarity on web cam.

- Gets a bit "finger printy" due to shiny exterior, and wouldn't want to rely heavily on battery.

+ Fast. Great Webcam and graphics
