Dell Inspiron Mini 910 Netbook Reviews: Windows XP Home 8.9" Screen Laptop computer

+ The net book is light and easy to operate. Starts up quickly and is ideal for browsing the web. All in all a very handy little thing.

- Very limited space so can not download much. Glossy cover gets fingerprints all over. A bit of a pain having to move page sideways and back again when reading anything.

+ Contrary to to other comments, it booted up quickly and was a perfect present for a social networking teenager

- battery life could be longer (but that would probably add to weight) and memory could be larger

+ great size to carry around has everything you need

+ Pre loaded with windows XP and Microsoft works. WiFi works well.

- Virus scan very slow. Could benefit from bigger hard drive.

+ Perfect for use when travelling. Very light and compact.

- Limited hard disk capacity so have to rely on external storage devices or transfer data to another PC / laptop for permanent storage.

+ Excellent display, quite fast. We use this on the move in our Motorhome with WIFI and Vodaphone Broadband pay as you go - excellent.

- Touch pad difficult to use - mouse really vital. Screen shape means you need to scroll more to read it all and sometimes the lower part of the display becomes innaccessible e.g. Acrobat print screen yo can't see or reach the print button. The base memory is a bit small but fits XP and some other programmes.

+ Excellent little laptop thats portable and more than adequate for Office applications and web surfing. Battery life is good. I've added an SD card to install some applications which run fine.

- The apostrophe key is small and right next to the carriage return, so you can sometimes press new line instead of an apostrophe, which is mildly irritating. That said, the keyboard is fine to type on.

- Slowness - but remember it is very portable

- Unfortunately it crashed completely after one day and had to be returned.

I've been able to load Open Office, Google Earth, Firefox & Thunderbird faultlessly

- a relative's one occassionally freezes .... mine hasn't.
keyboard needs slight getting used to as some keys are a bit too small

+ Everything! good for connecting to external screen etc. Note: use 8GB SD card to extend memory.

- All my friends want to borrow it!

- Restrictions obviously given the size on the amount of memory, and that you need an external cd drive, but overall not a problem

+ the size is just idle

- there is no cd drive built in,if there was, it would have been perfect and exact for movement but without were to play a cd or store things with,you would need a secondary equipment to,so it is not all in one, it is not also quick play.
