nice design and the monitor is very attractive and has all the information you could want.

there is next to no friction on the bike, it says it has a number or resistance levels but i have it on the highest setting and its much the same as the lowest. if your looking for a nice bike to use for a casual work out then this bike is great but if you looking for something to give you a hard work out you should keep looking

makes a squeaky noise after only a few uses, but calms down after 5-10 minutes use. Also the foot straps are a nightmare to start with because of the way they're packed but if you keep a pair of shoes or something in them for a couple of days the eventually become a little better.

1) Great value for money considering the functionality.
2) Smooth, quiet operation (apart from when the seat post is at its highest position or it's on tension setting 8!)
3) Reasonalby sturdy construction.
4) Effective tension control and good range of information on the screen (speed, calories, pulse, rpm, time, etc.)
-
1) Very awkward to hook the tension cable into place when putting the bike together - had to use additional tools to loosen a nut and move the bracket it hooks into. It would never have gone together properly straight out of the box.
2) Seat doesn't really go high enough for a 6 foot person.
3) Makes a strange 'clonking' noise with each revolution if you have the seat post on its highest setting.
4) Makes a nasty, constant scraping sound if you use it on the highest tension setting (setting 8) - as the tension increases, the cable lengthens, so I'm guessing at its longest, on position 8, it's getting trapped somewhere in the pedal mechanism.
5) Distance/speed readout fixed at kilometres - can't change it to miles or mph.
6) Can't adjust handlebar height - only the angle it tilts at.

Arrived in good time, and well protected in a big box. Everything was neatly wrapped up, and nothing was missing. It comes unassembled, and looked complicated to build, but following the easy plans hubby had it all together in 20 mins. The instructions are mostly good, how hard can it be, to get onto the seat and peddle. I now use it every day, and enjoy my exercise, mostly because the seat is comfortable compared to the last one, and it is very stable to use.
-
This is a heavy exercise bike, so you wouldn't want to drag it around every day. The instructions for the exercise computer are pretty clear, but the RECOVERY button is not explained, and I still don't know what F4 or F3 means, although I suspect it could mean fitness level. Is F4 good or bad?
