+ Has very good suction and is great at picking up pet hair. Stairs are easy to hoover, the machine seems to stay where you put it without toppling over. Good selection of tools come with the hoover, have used them all and they do what they are supposed to.

- A bit heavier then my last hoover but for most of the time I am pulling it around on the wheels so this is not really a problem.

+ very compact, tools on board cleaner instead of hose, easy to store away, excellent suction and really gives the carpet a good clean. The electrical cable mechanism is much better than the last Dyson in all respects - easy to pull out and it doesnt creep back into the body as before.

- My wife complains that it is too heavy and noisier than her older Dyson. I enjoy using it though so problem solved!

+ Lightweight. Easy to manoeuvre. Well designed to fit cleaning tools onboard.

- The bagless area isn't very large so you have to empty it frequently.

+ It is so compact and easy to use and no worries about replacing filters etc saving money. The suction power is extremely powerfull and with the stowaway system you take all the tools with you on board as you hoover.
A very east and clean system to empty also.Altogether user friendly.

+ This is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned! It picks up all the pet hair in one go. The cable is long. It sits really easily on the stairs. The stair tool with motorised brush bar is great. I love my Dyson! It was worth every penny and more!

- Would be nice to have button on main unit to turn on/off motorised brush bar.

+ Cleaning power is very good, even getting animal hairs is not a problem. You can easily get into corners and with all the different tools nowhere is safe from this animal.

+ I suppose it depends what your last vacuum cleaner was like but it's a joy to have one that actually picks dirt up without having to hoover the same spot 17 times. The extra long plug cord, the selection of cleaning heads and the power of the DC23 makes for easier hoovering.

+ It sucks every bit of dirt from the floor (including pet hair), and is easy to empty. That's what I want from a vacuum cleaner and I don't think anyone does it better than Dyson. Lots of other nice little features too but the main joy of it is, it does its job better than any other I've used.

- The price (although I shopped around and this was the cheapest, it's still a lot of money for a vacuum cleaner). Long hair gets wrapped up in the attachment and needs cleaning out every so often, but I have yet to find a cleaner where this doesn't happen.
