+ Full sized keyboard. Separate number pad. Excellent 17" display. Very responsive built-in Bobmousepad.I have had no problems whatsoever connecting to my home wireless network. Very quick load times from startup and with all programs, runs all games I have really well at maximum resolution (For comparison, Warhammer Soulstorm is my greediest game). Sound is good. Looks lovely!

- It is quite a heavy machine for a laptop; that said, it wasn't unexpected as I went for the 17" display mainly for gaming purposes.Battery life is not great, however this is my first laptop so have little to compare it to. I use it with wireless on virtually all the time and get a couple of hours out of a maximum charge.

Paul, Edinburgh , “Experienced fairminded honest reviewer.”

+ Beautifully designed laptop. A work of art - screen was fairly glossy but this is not always a good thing due to reflections. Nice mouse buttons - gimicky facial recognition log-on feature though quite fun! Mouse pad has very good feel unlike most HP laptops which I found to be very sticky. Useful spare bay to add a second hard drive for extra storage. Really good speakers for a laptop - second only to Acer 6920G which has a subwoofer built in.

- Quality of webcam very poor compared to Acer webcams. Quite big and heavy but what do you expect from a 17" laptop! Poor battery life but again this applies to almost all laptops and to be fair this is intebded as a desktop replacement so battery life not so important. Some people may not like the glossy keyboard as it does show off fingerprints rather easily.

+ Very smart looking computer, nice sharp big screen. Good value as a Reconditioned product. Previously bought same model for family member for work games and entertainment, good enough to buy a second machine as replacement for home desktop/tower pc, working anwhere wirelessly.

- never sure what a picture really looks like because if you vary your angle of view only slightly, the screen appears brighter or darker, therefore making it difficult to accurately judge and process photos. Maybe a common characteristic of this type of screen - I don't know. Seems to spontaneously go to sleep or into hibernation during normal use at random times, dont know whether this is me accidentally touching something, in which case it's not a very good design, or whether there is a fault. - maybe the cause of it originally needing to be "reconditioned"

+ Fantastic laptop. Never been keen but needed one to use in my room. This has been very reliable and easy to use. So many features too still trying to use them all. Playing movies is much better on this than my normal tv. Game playing is excellent boyfriend uses it for Championship Manager (8 hours a time) practically fight over it. Email is great with great features and easy to use my mobile phone to sync with the laptop. Screen is large to good for viewing. It has everything you could want top laptop to have. I was a bit dubios paying so much for one but would recommend paying the extra if you like computers.

- Some features are hard to get to grip with, The screen resolution is way too bright. Battery life is pretty bad so has to be plugged in most of the time I use it. It is heavy so not recommended for people who are going to be carrying it for long periods. Would be nice if it was preloaded with extras like different games or a movie.

+ Fast, easy to arrange delivery. The product itself is a huge improvement over the old laptop I was using before - both in terms of processor speed and capability. Money well spent.

- Maybe due to the large screen size the battery life can be a little short. Most of my use is in the home though - it's a bit big for carrying around unless you need to - so this hasn't been a big problem.
