+ Good, solid construction - Amplifier is very heavy for such a small unit. Good Specification at this price. Radio reception impressive.

- Speakers let the package down. When wired to decent floorstanders this unit packs a punch. Buy a £100 set of bookshelf speakers and you will have a cracking little set up.

+ Very stylish and compact. Sound is very good for such a low priced system. I love the buttons on the top, small but not too close together that you press more than one at a time. The top load system is very cool with the slow open and close. The double stack system means you can stack them together or put them on different shelves in a hifi unit. This is the best buy I've had for years. Highly recommend as a high quality/low price gift idea - ideal for Christmas.

- The connection cable for the two units is long when they are stacked together, it's fine if you have it on seperate shelves though. The remote looks great with all the silver buttons but are rather difficult when you need to find which button you need to press. Even after several months of use, I still can't press a button automatically without searching for it first.

+ stores hundreds od songs, fantastic sound huge battery life clear screen easy to operate and so tiny, overall incredible and the price was truly amazing.

+ Its compact, looks good, remote looks spaceage.

- The CD instillation is a bit tricky. If CD is not pushed down to an exact point (there is a too little and a too far) the CD makes a spinning noise loud enough to interfere with the oversound of the music. I find myself playing music louder than I actually want to hear it to block out the spinning souns produced.

- the remote control is an unusual shape, silver buttons (bit glary in the light) are not ideal - probably more difficult to see are the little letters next to the buttons.
