+ The are firmer than feather pillows, much better than synthetic piilows which don't breathe, and very natural. I am enjoying mine a lot with good neck support. I like the quilted cream coloured cover a lot. We alsoo have the Duvey which is wonderful and well worth the money.

- They are a bit too firm. Perhaps two levels of softness/firmness would be good to have a choice.

+ I suffer from nightime hot sweats. The pillow has been far better than one made with synthetic material. I have not had the pillow long enough to wash it yet so cannot comment on that.

- The pillow feels a little stiff and the filling goes a little limpy during the night.

+ It's made of wool so it regulates your head temperature. It's like baby bear's porridge; neither too hot or too cold but just right. Wool is also anti bacterial so even if you do sweat your pillow never ends up smelling. This is why I haven't rated the ease of washing yet because I haven't needed to.

- If you like lofty pillows then this probably isn't for you. It is quite a low pillow and although it can be plumped it tends to sink quite quickly. It can be a bit lumpy so maybe the porridge analogy is quite apt. I just made myself get used to it and now sleep better than I have done on any other pillow in the past.

+ My husband and I have always hated feather pillows because they are too soft and didn't give our heads enough firmness to sleep on. We had spent a holiday in Italy where the hotel pillows were very firm and the best we had ever used so were delighted when we discovered fogarty wool pillows. Since buying them, we have not been disappointed. The duvet is equally comfortable and we would recommend pillows and duvet to anyone who likes a measure of firmness.

- The duvet was a bit crinkley when new but this is disappearing with use
