+ easy to use brillant value for money

+ coped with a medium thickness nylon fabric very easily ( fabric was doubled up, so 4 layers sewn together without problem) and the double stitching very easy to use. Very light and compact and easy to pack away. Bobbin winding easy, what you get with the kit is more than I expected, ie extra needles, dould stitch needle, extra bobbins. Good range of stitches. Easy to follow instructions. Overall very good price for agood quality machine, I was worried that it might not be able to cope with thicker fabrics but it can.

- the only thing is that in the instruction booklet, the English sections are spread throughout the booklet mixed with other languages and not all together, but if you fing and highlight them then this saves time the next time you are looking up how to do something specific.

+ A good basic machine, that is very easy to use. My 13year old daughter has just started sewing and she found it very simple to understand.

- I found the manual quite frustrating to use due to so many languages being used.

+ This is the first sewing machine I have bought although I have used them before. Its easy to use and looks really nice. I would recommend this for anyone who just wants a machine that does exactly what it says on the box.

+ It a cheap machine and you get what you pay for..... Quite straightforward to use.

- Cheaply made.... quite noisy.. No cover.

+ Very easy to use - everything where I expected it to be - little diagrams on the machine! Stitching quality good (set-up easy). Light but heavy enough not to move when in use. Nice long cable. Fantastic value for money - less than half the price of the comparable machine I bought over 20 years ago.

- Extension arm slightly awkward to remove and no carrying case so it will have to live in the box. Vastly outweighed by good points.

+ I bought this machine in a hurry as my old Singer broke down in the middle of making curtains for my daughter's new house. So far this machinej has been easy to use, quiet and reliable. Good value too.

- The instruction manual is a bit fiddly as the languages are mixed up on each page, but I just highlighted the English bits which works well.

+ Bought it for our daughter as she has just moved into her own house and wanted to make curtains and cushion covers. She has never stopped using it! Very practical and easy to use would definitely recommend this!

- As mentioned before, by other (as I read the comments) cover would be useful, but nothing really to complain about.

+ I bought this machine for my grandaughter, it is ideal for her and she has had no difficulty in learning how to use it. If i didn't already have one of my own I would buy another for me. Its Excellent

+ - exactly what I wanted for good no nonsense sewing and very easy to use having not sewed for 20 years! light weight too - but not flimsy

- I guess if you want an all singing all dancing machine then it would not be for you - but for me that would be superfluous and extra things to go wrong or make the machine complicated - I just want amachine that sews basic stitches easily.

+ Straight forward easy to use machine. I bought this for my daughter who had never used a sewing machine before and she had it threaded and up and running in minutes.

- I feel that it should have a cover with it I cannot believe that the cost of a plastic cover could not be included in the price, but perhaps it should be ones first task on the machine to make a cover

+ Solid machine with easy to understand dials etc. Handbook is clear and useful in the machines initial set up. Good quality stitching, easy to thread and lightweight to move about. I would recommend the machine to anyone starting out on basic dress making, curtain making etc, or someone like me, who is returning to sewing.

- Not a major negative, but a handy carry case wouldn't go amiss. However, the machine sits safely and keeps dust free in its box just as easily - and I suppose I should really make a dust cover!

+ Bought for my 9year old grandaughter. She mastered threading machine and bobbin quickly.She has been making simple bags etc.for her friends!!

- Inserting bobbin is difficult. Stitch dials do not line up very well with marker-not too much of a problem once you get the hang of it.

+ Ideal machine for learning to sew, making basic patterns etc. Easy to use and simple instructions to get you started. Nice selection of stitches (more than I'd ever need I suspect!) and a great price.

+ i found this quite straight forward to use and the instructions easy to follow for someone who hasn't really had much experience with a sewing machiene.

- The leads to plug the machiene in arent long which made it awkward for me to find a suitable place to set it up. Had to move my furniture round so that i could get my desk closer to a power point.
