My problem wasn't really with appliances direct but more with their chosen courier company who promised to deliver on the Wednesday but then didn't deliver till 2 days later. Over a week after I'd ordered.

The appliance was not delivered on the day you said it would be and turned up 2 days later, no way of checking where it was online and no contact from you - so next time I will go elsewhere, probably appliancesonline who have a really good service and have never let me down!

Paid nearly £45 to Appliances Direct for recycle, disconnect & connect service they advertised on their website. Deliverymen feigned ignorance & told me they couldn't & wouldn't do this. When customer services told them I had indeed paid for this service, they pretended my plumbing was faulty & still refused. Customer service said they wouldn't refund me & that as it was past 5pm "they were going home", & couldn't call me back for 3 days (it was bank holiday). Finally after being reduced to tears (I was due to go in hospital for major surgery a few days later) - deliverymen reluctantly agreed to do the disconnect/connect that I'd paid for. It was obvious that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my plumbing, but customer services was quite prepared to let their delivery guys waltz off without recycling, disconnecting or connecting - and had no intention of refunding me. Disgusting attitude, will never use this company again.

Although appliances direct sent out on time, using parcel force is not recommended, it's an all day delivery time and wasn't delivered on day specified, I waited in all day and parcel force said they attempted delivery which they DID NOT!! Had to wait in on another day (all day again) for "second" delivery!! Not great for £9.95!
