Here are the most frequently asked questions our MP3 player and iPod expert Kat gets asked:

I can’t play my music on my MP3 player.

Most MP3 players don’t just play MP3s. There are lots of different ways of storing high quality music in small files these days, but not all MP3 players can play all the file types. So it’s important to check that your MP3 player can play the files that your music library is stored in, otherwise you’ll have to re-record the files from the orignal CDs again. You check if your MP3 player is compatible with the following file types:
WMA
WMV
OGG
ACC
WMV
DivX

If you are experiencing a fault with your product we advise that you always check with the retailer that you made your purchase from. Check your guarantee or extended warranty to see if they are still in effect.

If your product is no longer under guarantee try searching the internet or enquiring in a local shop to see if the problem you are experiencing is a common one. That way you can work out whether it’s worth repairing or better to save for a new product.
