Here are the most frequently asked questions our laptop expert Ed gets asked:

What kind of laptop do I need to check my emails and use the internet?

Almost every laptop currently on the market will allow you to easily browse the internet and check your emails. The only thing you need to make sure of is that your laptop can connect to a wifi network. In order for it to do this it will need to have a WiFi adaptor installed. see all of the laptops with WiFi built in.

The only other thing you will need is to have the internet set up in your house or place of work, using a wireless router. This then broadcasts the internet to your WiFi enabled laptop.

All laptops will allow you to browse the internet and check your emails once
connected to the internet.

What’s a dual core processor and why would I want one?

A dual core processor contains, as the name would suggest, 2 processing cores. What this means is that the laptop can simultaneously handle multiple ‘threads’ of data. In real terms this means that you can import a CD into iTunes whilst browsing the internet or editing some photos, without noticing a drop in performance. Whilst dual core processors are very helpful for doing a lot of work at once, most single core processors, such as Intel Celerons, will be fine for browsing the web and using word processing applications.

My laptop is broken, how do I fix it?

At Reevoo, we focus on helping people decide what to buy, so we’re not experts in fixing laptops. We recommend you search the web for an expert near you.

How do I leave a review?

When someone buys a product from one of our retail partners, we email them a brief questionnaire asking them what they think of the product they’ve purchased. We then publish the reviewer’s scores and comments on our website and our partners’ websites. More detail about how we collect reviews.

Our focus is on genuine reviews from real people, so, unlike other review sites, you can’t add a review unless you’ve purchased something online from one of our retail partners.
