+ Cheap, quiet,good basic machine with timer

- doesn't show progress of cycle, timer only covers up to 9hours ahead, instruction book is a bit confusing regarding the various settings on the dial

+ Washes well, not too noisy, generally good value for money.

- You are limited with the programmes. You cannot change the temp of a programme, its part of the setting, so it doesnt give you much flexibility which isnt that good if your environmentally concious.

+ I didn't want to spend a fortune and am not interested in "designer" kitchens. It's a standard size white washing machine which is all I looked for. I'm not interested in high-tec programmes - just wanted a bachelor's washing machine into which I throw dirty badies and have them returned as clean goodies. Thus far it's done a good job. Quad erat demonstrandum.

Excellent spin for removing most water

- Extremely noisy, it whines constantly as drum turns.
It vibrates so much when spinning it bangs against the sides of the unit
The pump cover door vibrates so much when pumping that it is very noisy, so have to have pump cover open to make it quieter, this means you bang your ankles on it when passing, sometimes knocking it off altogether.

- all cycles take 2-3 hours - much longer so need to plan washes more. there may be a way to reduce this, by reducing spin speed, haven't really tried and it is useful having 1200rpm and really dry washing come out.

+ energy saving and programme time delay facility 3,6,9 hours, means I put my washing in before leaving for work and the programme finishig as I return home.

- Programme time length when selecting the most eco washes are up to 2.30 hours long.

+ Good quality & solid build. No problems so far. Wide opening door. Simple to use. Does everything that can be expected of a reliable washing machine. No fancy controls & complicated instructions to use.

+ It is a good washing machine for the money. The clothes come out clean and nearly dry on the fast spin. It has a hand wash cycle which is gentle enough for anything.

- It is very noisy and takes a very long time especially on eco cycles.

+ on a super quick will wash a load in an hour with good spin , good value for the money i paid as it was lower end of scale, the guys who delivered and fitted it where really helpful.

- mini cycle 30 minutes is quick but the spin is a bit pathetic as only 700 and clothes come out a bit too wet but you can put it on extra spin, over all i'm v happy with the machine.

- cycle is 2 and a half hours long! why cant they be shorter

+ This is a really good value for money washing machine. It is easy to use, my washing always comes out very clean even at 30 and the machine is very quiet.

- It doesnt have a half load and you cant tell how far in to the cycle it is.

+ Spin incredibly quiet, and effective. Easy to use, not too many flashing lights/buttons etc

- Washing cycles v.v. long - even the 'eco' ones, but have found that selecting the 'Quick/Rapid wash' option cuts washing time down from 2.5 hours to about 45 mins - and clothes come out just as clean!

+ Lovely quiet, easy to use washing machine. Delayed start is handy, and it does everything very well.

- Only thing we miss about this model is it does not tell you how long your washing is going to take, and does not give an audible signal when it is finished. But we could have paid more and got that. Overall we have been delighted with our purchase.

+ Colour - I know, very shallow of me. Noise level - very quiet, efficient.

Was bought as a cheap replacement for a top of the range hotpoint who main bearing went wrong 2 week out of warrenty - and at the price much more cost effective than a repair or extra warrenty.

- Single dial does make it the best looking thing - but makes it a doddle to use. Select then press the go button - job done.

- Door size is small and no estimated cycle times available. My old machine (a Whirlpool) had an LED display with the time remaining. I hadn't realised how useful this was.
