+ easy to use with fantastic cleaning results. basic choice of programmes but it easily suits our families needs. you just load it and press the button and away you go 90+ minutes later all washed and dried. far, far better than the hoover brand that we had before. would certainly recommend ++++++

- on the quick 30 min wash you need to dry everything so you may as well wash by hand. wish all the racks in the bottom were flexible and not just the back ones

+ easy to use and plenty of room for both dishes and pans. Good value for money and cleans the dishes and pans very well. All items are ready to store away when the cycle has finished.The quick wash cycle is perfect for small loads.

- Apart from a 'clunk' noise now and again in the cycle, I am very happy with this product although non stick pans can be scraped in the process

+ Most everything is good- see above.I like the way the trays fold down for stacking large items.

- When I measured the casing it would fit into the unit, but the top juts out a 1/4cm more and makes it difficult to open a drawer- irritating but not serious. I had problems at first with the "on"/cancel button- I think this could be re-designed to function more easily. The cutlery box ispaces are too small for my cutlery which have rounded ends-I dismantled the lid.

- Too noisy, cleaning performace inconsistent, does not have a 'time remaining'display despite the retailer's description. No indication whatsoever of which part of the cycle the dishwasher is at any time.

+ The rinse cycle(E) takes a longer time than I would have expected having regard to the rinse cucle time on my previous dishwasher. Programme C Eat-Load-Run is very good, short time and crockery always clean.

- Most disappointing feature is is the loading baskets as both my wife & I find it difficult to load tall wine glasses and certain cups without them moving around during the wash cycles. The design of the baskets make it far more difficult to load and appear to hold less than the machine it replaced.

Detergent box broke within 3 months - however this was replaced under warranty.
Cleaning ok for plates and glasses but pots + pans need additional handwashing, our old dishwasher use to get items much cleaner than this dishwasher.

+ Very quiet. Seems to be green and economical - uses little water. Does what it is supposed to do with a little thought.

- Odd shaped and molded plastic top drawer inserts. They either hold a wine glass in place or not and are not wide enough. Top drawer bottom is very awkwardly shaped with a rise in the middle of each side compartment. Bottom drawer rack falls down at inopportune moments. You have to give loading a lot of thought for best efficiency. Once used to its quirky ways, its a nice machine but I would put it in the 'value' bracket rather than the 'top of the range' bracket. That said, it washes dishes as well as I want.

cutlery basic design only allows for thin handled cutlery and we had to actually go and buy new just to fit in the basket
top rack design poor - middle 2 sections do not seem to be suitable for any particular crockery - too narrow for mugs and glasses - what are these for??

+ AAA means its eco friendly......

- AAA means it doesnt use as much energy to dry everything as my old one which wasnt eco friendly , therefore it doesnt dry as well..........but its worth putting up with that small matter to get something which is more eco friendly and therefore has to be more economical

+ Just about everything is good. Simple to use, quiet and generally completely satisfactory.

- Not a serious problem, but the load shelves could be improved upon.

+ It has a quick wash cycle of only 12 minutes, which is very useful. It also has an Eco cycle, which saves energy and water. It is quite quiet when running.

- The interior trays do not run very smootly when pulling them in and out for loading, feels a bit cheap.

+ I had a Hotpoint Slimline before I purchased the Zanussi ZDF231. This machine is is superior in all ways and for the price it is an excellent buy.

+ We thought because it was in the sale and had a triple A rating it would be value for money,i actually chose it because it had a quick wash 30 minutes, but it does not actually wash properly on this setting.

- My normal size dinner plates quite often stop the arm from rotating so we have to put the upper basket on the high setting at all times. Even on the long wash it still leaves the crockery and cutlery quite wet and as mentioned before the quick wash setting does not actually always wash properly, sometimes leaving bits of food on the cutlery even when stacked correctly.

+ Not to complicated - easy to use and reliable - so far!

- Bottom tray at the front is no good for larger plates and the top shelf is useless for taller glasses to stand up.

- The top section of the dishwasher is very difficult to load, mugs and glasses in. the centre section is too wide and the cup section too narrow. Tall glasses fall over. It is not necessary for a plate section in a top basket, it should just be for cups, mugs, glasses and jugs.

+ Good value. Very easy to understand.

- Has a very odd re set system which had us baffled for a couple of days - thought it had died. But ok now. A bit noisy. Thought the decibel levels weren't as loud as they are in practice.

+ Baskets are a better design than previous model, except for top one centre, where it is not deep enough to stop plates rolling out to the side. The connection for the top spinner does not waste space, as the previous was top down, whereas this is back to front.

+ all the above except ease of loading, otherwise I am very satisfied with the machine. The make was recommended by a builder friend as reliable and longlasting and I would buy the same make again.

- I find the top basket difficult to load safely - long glasses are liable to fall over (1 broke on an early use!), mugs are not very stable. The cutlery basket works best without the top.

+ Seems well built. Easy installation with clear instruction book. Controls are intuitive. There are warning indications for low salt and rinse aid . Adequate choice of programmes we are particularly taken by the short 30 minute programme which leaves the dishes sparkling as do the other programmes. The noise level is suprisingly low and is no distraction in our dining/kitchen. Cleaning the filters is easy. The loading is helped by sensible arrangements of lifting glass supports, folding dish supports to accomodate larger pans etc and adjustable height for the top drawer. The upper spray arm receives water from the back leaving the top of the washer clear of obstructions which reduce space in the upper basket

- There are no significant bad points. Some people may want to see an indication of the progress of the wash cycle but to my mind this just a pointless complication.

- Holds alot less than our previous machine...Had we seen inside before we bought it...we wouldn't have!
Doesn't clean particularly well unless you put it on at highest temperature.
