Whirlpool ARC4170 W Reviews: Frost Free, Standard, White fridge freezer

+ Very big! Bit like the TARDIS, although it looks big on the outside its bigger on the inside. I like the ice maker, and the sliding shelves.

- Door shelf design not good enough to accomodate more than two 4-pint milk cartons. I've had to remove a whole shelf to get all the milk in, which was a bit irritating. We have a problem with a broken seal at the bottom of the door that can't be repaired but the whole fridge is being replaced.

+ Does what fridge freezers should do

- Noisy, noise nearly all the time. Cold air circulates from it making kitchen cold. I wonder how much electricity it is using.

+ THE SPACE INSIDE IS SUPERB. THE FREEZER MAY LOOK SMALL BUT IT HOLDS A LOT AND THE SIDE STORAGE IS GREAT FOR THE LITTLE ITEMS.

- ITS LOUD, AND IT MAKES A BUBBLING NOISE WHICH I DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS NORMAL OR NOT!!!

+ It has an alarm which sounds when the fridge door has been open for too long. It has lots of useful compartments.

- Took a few weeks to arrive. It looks huge but ours is behind the kitchen door so isn't too noticeable.

+ The fridge capacity is great. No more problems trying to fit containers on the shelves. The space on the door is second to none. The freezer is surprisingly large too.

- Have bumped my head a few times (after putting something nearer the bottom of the fridge)on the temperature panel between fridge and freezer.

- We've had the temperature control box in the fridge develop ice a few times but it was easy to break off and then was fine.

+ This is a well built and designed fridge/freezer and large enough for a family of 4 for a weeks produce.

+ Very good sized fridge, lots of space for jars and bottles. The door storage in the freezer is a very good idea and great for smaller items like ice lollies/creams, although I would have prefered the freezer a little bigger (by making the unit taller not compromising fridge space). The super fast freeze section is also a good size and its big enough to fit in large ice cube/baby food freezing trays. Overall good value for money.

- Can be noisy at times. We have had to tape up something at the back to stop it vibrating. We do find that the meat section of the fridge freezes the contents a little but if we turn the fridge temperature down then the rest of the fridge isnt cold enough. The handles stick out too much, I often hit my head on the freezer handle and my elbow on the fridge one!

+ Nice looking fridge/freezer with lots of different compartments for storage of different products. Can holders are great, along with the ice cube making device.

- Door storage intended for larger items (bottles and milk etc) isn't very wide so can't have lots of tall items stood up together.

+ Really big, which I just love!!!! Room for everything. I like the moisture controle compartment. You can literally see how the mist in salad plastic bags dissapears. When you open the door and leave it open for a longer, it starts to beep. With little one who constantly opens the fridge it's a good thing.

- It is quite loud after you've left the door opened for a while, but once it's regained the normal temperature, it's silent again.
You can buy and buy things but the fridge still has room left:)
