Score 3.0/10+ did clean middle of carpets...but..
- ...cant do edges leaves approx 6" area untouched both infront and to the sides of the unit so only usefull for central area of carpet or rugs, no adapters included so cannot be used for stairs.

Always be sure the bottom tank is picking up the used water. If the two parts of the machine are not precisely assembled, water does not pick up and the carpet becomes saturated.
Could have been better designed to overcome this.

Score 7.0/10+ Easy assembly. Does clean well and sucks up most of the moisture - carpet almost dry after cleaning. Brought up the pile of the carpet nicely.
- Didn't get stains out which was very disappointing. Did need refilling/emptying 3 times in a relatively small lounge/dining area.
