The depth of the shelves are quite deep, which means they have variuos uses such as storing books, hinge and box files as well as ornaments.
-
When fitting the back to the book shleves there are no screw hole to put the corner peices in place. The depth of the shelves also meant that nailing the back panal to the shelf was difficult and they had to be accurately spaced.

From the front view it looks more expensive than it was. Very efficient method of changing the height of each shelf.
-
The back is very difficult to keep in the tracks when trying to tack on - bottom came out when the top went in and vice versa - could do with more substantial backing for this large bookcase. Purchased the smaller one which was much better.

Excellent value for money for purpose intended - i.e. to use in spare bedroom, wouldn't use in living room.
Found the bookshelves reasonably easy to put up.
-
No real bad points but found we had to look hard for marked holes and would recommend that each piece of wood could be marked with a removable identification no.

The shelves are widely spaced allowing for storage of large hardback books, yet when the shelves are filled each shelf does not have the strength to carry the number of books which the size will allow. This bookshelf needs to be sturdier

Attractive looking and ideal for additonal shelving in a bedroom, especially when you have a young boy who has started to enjoy reading, now that he can see what books he has.
-
Better instructions needed as not very clear, no labels on items so you know if you have the right part or not.
Could do with being a little more stable but apart from that fairly good overall.

The material it's made from isn't too strong -if you overtighten the screws, the fibreboard splits easily. It might not hold up too well if fully loaded with heavy books or magazines.

Underside of top not laminated which looks cheap and nasty. I'm told this is not a fault because it's not a facing surface! However I bought it alongside the 40cm same shelf unit and that one is laminated on this surface as it should be because it clearly is facing. therefore they don't even match!!

The shelving has collapsed several times so it does not hold a large amount of books.
The rear which is the back of the bookcase does not fit properly it is buckled and the tacks which you need to fix to it comes through into the front part of the bookcase as there is small room for error.
