+ Versatile recording/editing/copying with HDD, DVD and VHS. Recording quality with HDD seems as good as the original TV broadcast. Ability to watch a recording from the beginning whilst still recording (timelapse).

- No timed recording with VHS.

+ A well made unit; user-friendly, which offers a breath of features at a reasonable price.

- The VCR playback is a bit temperamental on occasions and the tracking feature struggles to cope with some of my older videos. Also, cannot be region de-coded.

+ Superb recording time available allowing you to store programmes that are weeks old as well as just hours.

- The hard drive is very loud and can be quite disturbing if taping a programme in the early hours.
