Score 7.0/10+ It's a very entertaining toy and has several different areas to keep little ones amused for at least short periods of time.
-
Although the picture on the box shows a child interacting with the toy, the only actual interaction is turning the "engine" on and then you just sit back and watch it do it's "tour" around the tracks going forwards and backwards and dumping small brown balls in various recepticles.
The toy's "story" isn't all that clear - why would a post office have small brown balls being taken from one place to another by train and helicopter - not easy to answer young, enquiring children's questions!!
Also, the small brown balls aren't all that good for younger children - choking hazard!

Score 6.0/10+ Watching the trains go round the track, collecting the balls and delivering them to Harold. A clever little set-up.
- Once you've watched it a few times it gets very boring. It just does the same circuit over and over again, so you can imagine how a 3 year old will switch off. There is no interaction with it, as there is with the Brio Thomas the Tank sets.

Score 9.0/10+ Entertaining to watch and play but not as good as the earlier coal transporter version whereby the direction of the trains can be altered by pressing a button on the track
- Small beads could be a swallowing hazard for children if not supervised

Score 10.0/10+ Keeps my grandson busy for hours. He loves the helicopter going around on its own. He also plays with it manually. The battery has lasted long time too.
- The 'post bags' a bit on the small side - could be mistaken for sweets.
