+ easy to set up . clear instructions. the map graphic is simple and makes sence.

- the lack of a home charger in the box.

+ Its very quick to re route you if you make a mistake, I have always had a good signal strenth, It has always got me to where I want to go I have not tried the eurpean maps yet but will next year on holiday. The new easy fixing bracket is simple and very good.

- It does not tell you when the battery is going flat it just switches off.

+ Clear warning signal approaching speed cameras. Large easy to read display.

- I have two Tom Toms.There is still a problem when leaving roundabouts. The display is too slow to show the correct exit. You can find yourself on the wrong road.

+ First time user of SATNAV. Found instructions both verbal and visual to be very clear and accurate.

- I haven't got accustomed to using it, but have found it time-consuming. i tried to traverse London from CR to N1 avoiding the Congestion Charge, but was directed straight through it! I had a devilof a problem switching the device on initially. Battery seems to drain fast when not in use.

- "A large speaker gives you the best audio quality, eliminating distortions so you hear your instructions loud & clear". ITS NOT TRUTH. Sound is not loud and not quality. I use ONE XL and sound better.

+ Don't need to look at Tom Tom whilst driving. Voice clear. Repeats instructions prior to a junction/roundabout, then at junction/roundabout eg take the second exit on the roundabout. Quickly realigns if driver takes an alternative road to that ordered by Tom Tom. Gives time and miles left of the journey, know exactly where you are at any given point. Beeps when speed cameras are ahead. Map very clear. Very easy to operate.

- Can give a left/right turn instruction if bend in road is equal to a corner (but we are used to this). UK map out of date when purchased eg a roundabout that Tom Tom informed us of near Leamington Spa, no longer exists, the road was straight but each time we approached this particular part of the road the Tom Tom told us to "take the 1st exit on the roundabout".
