+ Much lighter than my previous model, very portable. Easy to programme.

- Speed camera warning is a strange 'honking' noise, unable to change sound as with speed warning.
A self-adhesive fixing disc would be helpful for those not wishing to mount unit on windscreen.

- Bit annoying on motorway when it tells you to steer right at exits but who cares with all the positives

+ Probably the best (at the price) GPS navigation system around. Small for the pocket when you leave the car and mark it as a favourite. Then you can find where you left the car!

- Tmtom Home software is yet to be published.

+ Easy to use, basic but accurate enough to get you there, as long as you keep your own brain in gear as well (bit this is pointed out in the documentation).

- Some of the info is very up-to-date (roundabout opened just a few weeks ago), other info is not (roundabout changed to T-junction 2 years ago) - so keep your eyes and mind open!

+ It's a TomTom. We all know what they do. This one is a great size for your pocket or handbag.

- 1) Appallingly short battery life (about an hour and a bit) and a battery that does not hold it's charge when off for a couple of days. 2) If you have the speed limit warning switched on that automatically switches on the speed camera warning and I have not yet worked out if that can be separately disabled. I find the resultant frequent beeping rather annoying. 3) This is supposed to be an up to date product. It doesn't include a relocation of the M2 motorway in Kent that happened over a year ago.

+ Very easy to use, options of typing in Postcode or a town then picking up addresses this way. I like the fact it gives a guide time for journey and the mileage. Found it exceptionally useful when travelling abroad recently, without this we would have wasted hours.

- I found it really annoying upon initial use that it would say exit ahead thinking to take the next turn off when infact it is just warning you you have an exit coming up eventhough it may not be the actual next exit on the road! I have since got used to it and wait for the Exit Now signal.

- Used tom tom on a route I knew and when I got to dual carriageway it said....keep to the right.....don't know why as I knew to keep to the left.
