Poor Mapping. My home (10years)still not shown yet appears on all maps except tomtom. They request letters re: maps, and promise replies which are never sent.
Two design faults in my opinion.
1. the curved rear make it easy to drop. A square design would be gripped easier, and lessen the chance of dropping.
2.It should have access to the battery when it requires renewing rather than return to factory

Excellent, quality product, which worked straight out of the box.Very easy to use with great sound quality. Contains a wealth of useful/infomative points of interest - ideal when visiting different parts of the country.

Difficult to find any fault, only to say that it's shape can sometimes be a little slippery and contact with the floor from any height could prove expensive!

I have found Tom Tom very useful. I have restricted sight and it is excellent not having to search for sign posts especially in towns.

It takes time to get used to some of the instructions, many times I have been told to turn right and then left. I turned right and took first left only to find the turning was another 5o yards along the road

I'd been wondering whether to buy a sat nav for a while and am really pleased I did. It makes the journey a whole lot easier and if there is a jam or heavy traffic it is very easy to plan an alternative route

Fantastic system. Especially useful is the speed at which a new route is calculated if a wrong turn has been taken.

A heated front windscreen does cause problems with the signal so the recommended aerial booster is essential to get the most out of the unit

Takes away the complications of navigating in unknown towns. A major safety device.
Gives clear warning of approaching manoeuvres.
Post code destination finding is brilliant.

Navigation voice commentary needs some critical interpretation. (Though the next manoeuvre diagram is generally very clear.)

Very easy to use, voices easy to understand especially the female which is clearer than the male voice. Updates are easy to install you can even download for free of the internet POI for safety cameras instead of purchasing direct from tom tom just search and you shall find.

Bright and easy to read display, Bluetooth support for the Traffic and other TomTom "Plus" services (no handsfree like the 500 & 700 models though),
Good battery life,
Loud and clear sound from the speaker,
Availabilty of free Speed Camera database and other points of interest.

Size - unit is a little too bulky to carry around when removed from the car.
Poor signal in cars with heat reflective windscreens (a problem not unique to the Go), but to fix this the only option is Tomtom's own and very expensive external antenna.
No AC adapter supplied with this model.

If you deviate from the planned route it recalculates alternative very rapidly.
Takes only a few seconds to install or remove.
Display is very clear and enables better reading of the road ahead.

easy to use, pretty self explanitory. Fantastic when you take the wrong route as updates to where you are quickly.

suction onto windscreen is a not always good. think there is some sort of sun screen additional product you can get which would be worth buying as sun glare can obscure vision of the screen. Can take a couple of minutes to identify where you are. Doesnt always show the quickest route but the easiest, which you shouldnt need if you are following the TomTom directions.

I have recently moved to a new area of the country and the Tom Tom has been invaluable in helping me get around. The advanced warnings of approaching junctions allows you to get into the correct lane in plenty of time.

The only down point is that the Tom Tom can occasionally lose signal on some minor/country roads which can be a bit frustrating.

Did not include ac power charger, which had to be bought separately and occasionally gprs cuts out such as when tall buildings and narrow streets interfere with reception i.e parts of central london. Also unless you know the postcode of destination can be very tricky to find certain adresses.

Some instuctions could be clearer, and made more. IE It told me to exit to the right off a motorway, there was no exit to the right so I kept to the right and missed the exit. It should have said, exit the motorway and then take the right.

The touch screen is just so easy to use no sub menus to go through! Just plug in and go it really as easy at that! You can even downdload where speed camara and traffic light camaras are from the internet.

Easy to use.

Screen not very easy to see in bright daylight.
Verbal instructions not always accurate at roundabouts.(e.g. "Take third exit" when it should be 2nd.

Routes do no take account of how busy certain roads are. It is difficut to force routes to roads you prefer.
