Have been a Tomtom user for 8 years, and for the first time disappointed with a Tomtom product.
Had to buy a new unit after my Live 740 was stolen.
Tomtom remove features with every new hardware release, and have killed the once brilliant Live traffic service by decreasing the range it takes into account to 50 miles.
Will no longer recommend Tomtom to my friends.

Faye, Windsor Always use sat nav
- Good points:
- This machine is equally as valuable as my car - i use it even if i'm doing a 10 minute drive because you never know if the traffic will be bad, or rather correction you never knew before...I do now! In 1 week, the TomTom Go Live 1000 will save you time. Any machine which can do that is worth every penny in my book.
- Bad points:
- I would like to see the miles we have left to go sometimes, rather than just the time to go - but that's just my old conditioning. The machine is quite right, really we only need to know how long a journey will take us, regardless of its distance.

James, Colchester Always use sat nav
- Good points:
- great lane guidance, good sat nav, worth buying at the right price, traffic seems to work well,
- Bad points:
- the traffic camera updates and positioning are not overly accurate and the most annoying aspect is that when you add a speed camera on your own sat nav it will not save it for you, so you have to keep on remembering where some of the cameras are yourself, defeating the object. particularly bad on the M25, some of them have recently started alerting but only about 50% now. expensive to renew contract if not all aspects working fully!
