Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX 11-16mm F2.8 Aspherical Canon

+ Thrilled with this lens and have taken some fantastic photographs with it. I appreciate that some cameraphiles will possibly argue differently but for me as an amateur I cannot fault this lens and am very happy with the new possibilities this has given to my photography

+ Very good image quality, contrast and saturation - works well with the Canon EOS 50D
Little image distortion in comparison with other wide angle lenses I have used - much less than I expected
Large aperture very useful in low light conditions
Includes a lens hood - much more generous than Canon for a non 'L' series lens

- Not very large focal range - but then I knew that before I bought the lens
It is quite a large lens

+ The Tokina lens 11-16mm , This is a fantastic Lens nice and compack easy to use Good quality

+ Excellent sharpness throughout the zoom range at all apertures. Superb resolution & colour rendtion. Very slight barrel distortion at 11mm, minor CA at f2.8 near frame edges - both correctable in PP. Fantastic lens fo rthe money.

+ Very sharp images, ease of use, fast auto focus, distortion at the edge of pictures minimal for a wide angle lens

- Quite large and heavy (but this is being vey picky)

+ Sharp, well done (no plastic toy), suitable to use inside without flash light

- Difficult to find any

+ So much clearer pictures than any of the standard lenses i have. Good to get a lens with a hood supplied.

- It is much heavier than any of my other lenses due to the good built standard. It is also very large which takes up a lot of space if you have a small holdall.
