Excellent product for Duke of Edinburgh expedition. Ideal size for a 14 year old to carry. Great bottom pocket for fitting sleeping bag in therefore no risk of getting leaked on from drink or food containers. Great value for price
-
Lots of clippy bits - no directions for their use.

Attention to detail that I just didn't expect on such a well priced product. For instance, the rain cover is easily big enough to go around attached items as well as the bag itself.

Still trying to find out what all the buckles, belts and bungees can do. My daughter is using it this weekend for her Duke of Endinburgh test. All her stuff dispappeared inside the rucksack with ease.

I had never owned a backpack before and didn't understand why people were concerned with pockets and compartments. All has become clear to me... when you're in a tent you can't sit up in and you need to find something small in your pack, you have to tip it all out UNLESS you have lots of pockets. I almost went for the value option - cheaper, less pockets but really glad I paid a bit more. I fitted eveything I needed for a 3 day festival for 2 people, easy to carry, sturdy, proffessional looking. I am 100% satisfied!

Very good size and managed to put a lot of stuff in it. Lots of pockets/compartments that took lots too.
If you can work out how to fit it comfortably on your back to carry, then this is a super priced and super sized back pack.
-
Never managed to work out how to put it on our back comfortably as velcro fastening kept coming undone. Ended up having to carry it with carry handle. As with other reviews - overboard on the straps which got in the way. Having said that though, it did pass the time on our 7 hour train journey working out what each one did and why !!!

Its very tough and has plenty of space, the rain cover is a good idea if needed, the shoulder straps are very comfortable when positioned correctly.
-
I think i'd have preferred it if the bag were made of a rainproof material. Adjusting the straps to fit the length of your back can be a challenge and I think I only got it spot on first time by complete luck.

Well made affordable rucksack. Has everything you would need including the much needed rain cover. Can be compressed to make a slightly large day rucksack. Lots of attachment points which can be handy as my sleeping bag is huge and so takes up most of the bag space if put in the bag but was easy to attach to the loops on the bottom of the rucksack.
-

Would be better if it had the 'roll pockets' common in good backpacks for sealing and packing, instead of just the zips and pulls.
