Most helpful reviews

Phil, Cheshire music and spoken-word listener

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Easy to use. Good value for money for a DAB clock radio and CD player. Tone and volume good. Display brightness adjustable and can be toned down during the night. Bought this to replace one that cost over twice the price but was such poor quality that I returned it for a refund.
This model is so much better at less than half the price.
Bad points:
Writing on remote control very small and not easy to read. Otherwise there are no bad points.

Good points:
Separate volume settings for sleep and alarm functions.
Smart but unobtrusive design.
Two alarm settings for sleepyheads!
Fine levels of volume adjustment.
Bad points:
Alarm setting not stored if item is switched off.
Irritating "Hello/Goodbye".
Display primary setting should be the time.

Score 2.0/10
Good points:
Good reception
Small
Bad points:
1.the display is virtually impossible to read from any distance. e.g.from bed in the night
2. you have to select the time specifically as generally the display scrolls,
3.you cannot preset the station you want the radio to come on to with the alarm if you change what you are listening to before putting it off
4. none of the features are instantly recognisable and you have to keep referring to the instruction manual,
5. its appearance is not very attractive
I think this is intended to compete with more expensive versions. It doesn't.

Mark, Middlesbrough Music fan

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
An excellent & compact little CD/RADIO player with really good sound quality for something of this size. Easy to set up, just plug it in and set it to scan for radio stations and its ready to use. It automatically sets its own time upon completion of scanning. Very user friendly. Excellent value for money.

Anna, Grays Spoken-word listener

Score 2.0/10
Good points:
Well, it does play CDs. Not hugely expensive.
Bad points:
Too hard to make the CD play, and choose a track. Remote is too tiny to be any use in the dark, when I mostly listen to audio books. So heavy to pick up, and so shiny I'm scared I'll drop it. The wire to the plug is too short. Need to use the remote to get a a pretuned station, how stupid.
