+ Ergonomics are great, especially the thoughtfulness that has gone into extras on keyboard like @ and . placement. Though a cursor placement key is missing. The sync with gmail and calendar, as an existing user, is the killer app for me.

- Technical capability not realised by a lack of really useful software, there are lots of programs that can potentially make life easier such as shopsavvy, my tracks etc. but there is no software to install really useful yet simple things, such as: - Software enabling cursor controlled by the trackball, as per desktop PC (which will enable the next suggestion) Ability to highlight, copy and paste any text or pictures, as per desktop PC.

- worst battery life of any phone i've ever owned. bluetooth function is a joke.leave phone at home and use old phone when i'm going out to use bluetooth.

+ Android OS is quick and easy to use. Screen is bright with a responsive touch screen and flip out mini-keyboard is great for emails/texts.

- Battery life is poor, especially when using GPS and WiFi.

+ The phone is stylish, very easy to work and understand and has a number of good features, with probably more that I haven't even found yet.

- Battery lift isn't good, charging mosts days after use, there isn't any video function (that I have found yet) and the volumn doesn't seem high at the highest level.

+ web browsing is easy, due to it being google had no problems whatsoever.Touchscreen is very responsive and overall the phone is a pleasure to use.

- battery life is not very good sometimes it has to be charged twice a day. Cannot get bluetooth to work and it could do with flashplayer for web browsing video clips.

+ Love being able to IM and pick up emails, I like the fact that everything is in one place.

- The keyboard keys are too little for my fingers. The battery life is shockingly short. It isn't very easy to set up more than one email account.

- battery is awful ! camera fiddly and no video, Adobe needed but unable to download, but mainly the battery - i had to buy a second one. because with just average online usage the battery only lasted a couple of hours.

- the battery life isn't great, but given the amoint of use the phone gets then it is hardly surprising. and having to charge the battery every night is no great hardship.

- the ring tones are not loud enough, cannot apply my hotmail address to it, can not have blue tooth, cannot transfer ringtones on to it!

+ Amazing interface, really easy to navigate around the menu and applications. The touch interface is easy and intuitive with large touch areas and buttons. It is also really nice that there are a lot of custom applications that can be downloaded from a central place and then used on the phone.

- Two main things are wrong with this phone and one of them(bluetooth) I hope will be resolved soon. First the battery life is not that great, and secondly the bluetooth implementation does not support file sharing. Battery life is dramatically limited when 3G and wireless services are enabled therefore every night you have to charge the phone, unless they are turned off.

+ It's a great phone to use, easy to get around and to get used to. The music capacity of it is very good having a 2GB from scratch is more than enough for most commuters like myself, and the easy to use headset controls make it easy to flick through songs even while riding a bike.

- The blue tooth isn't the best in the world and takes time and effort to figure out, and the battery life is limited, when you are using the applications a lot.

+ The open source philosophy of the device is what attracted me to it. I am a computer scientist and like the idea that it can be easily tinkered with.

- The battery life is slightly below par but in reality it doesn't matter too much because a usb cable in the office allows me to easily charge it off the computer.

- The battery life is very poor with it being very lucky if it lasts a day. This is due to me using it alot. the speakers are not very good but the headphones are to vey high quality

Have to use headphone adapter rather than 3.5mm standard jack

+ Has all the features you could want from a phone and the web browsing is as good as any laptop!

- The battery life only lasts two days but this is still better than most phones with this many features.

+ Easy to use some great apps eg local, controversial here but I don't think the battery is that bad consider it can do a lot more than most laptops were battery lasts a few hours at most. Also I don't mind lack of 3.5mm jack, I usually hate using adapters but the supplied adapter with built in mic means I can just plug my prefered 3.5mm headphones in and answer calls while listening to music. Also like tie up with my goolgle mail account and google diary with instant sync.

- GPS little flaky and battery muncher. Lack of accessories . External mic not that loud and poor quality.

- navigation-slight touch of screen can open applications not wanted. When using the keyboard for texting the mouse button can be touched and can send the message before you have finished texting.or it moves you to areas of the screen you do not want.

+ I love this phone, my only regret is 2 things... the battery life .... it could use some more power, and also its inability to synchronise with Microsoft Office, I would love to have been able to organise my diary using the phone...but the phone itself is excellent and despite my misgivings I would still ( based on my limited experience with the device) reccomend the phone to a colleague or friend..

+ Internet is amazing and very quick wherever you are. The applications are fun and brilliant and the phone really shows on the applications. Email is easy to setup and its just as easy to reply to an email as you would a text. Overall the phone is amazing and has all the functions you need. Compared with the blackberry curve the internet on the g1 is by far better and faster.

- Design is good because it allows the keyboard to be protected but it just doesnt have the good looking factor about it, I expect better looking models to appear after the g1. Battery life is 1 full day which is reasonable when the phone has so much going on but at times can be annoying especially if you forget your charger. However, the battery life is something I can live with for so many functions for me its the best phone on the market. If it was better looking had an improved battery life and improved camera (which is not bad btw) the phone would be perfect but for me its still the best phone out.

+ once you get use to it , becomes very simple to ue. the battery gets better over use faster to charge last longer. the market is good as well can find alot of free stuff in there. text messaging is good every person have their own texts saved like a convo on msn so no need to scroll through the phone for the last message just click on their name and all their messages are there.

- the camera is not the best because you cant change the lighting on it no effects at all. bluetooth is also not the best it wont connected to my other phone bit like blackberrys

+ Big screen is clear and bright and thouch screen works well.

+ Love this phone, loads of features and gizmos to make life easier and to impress friends. Maps and always on internet, with easy browsing, is great. Also very useful to have online calendar and contacts continuously synced, to help me organise my life! Oh, and a whole lot of fun, too...

- Battery life is pretty poor, just have to get used to a charge per day. Also annoying that downloaded apps can't be saved to the SD card, so onboard memory quickly fills up and you have to make sacrifices. But not annoying enought to stop it being a mighty fine phone!
