Sony XDRS100 Reviews:

+ The Sony XDRS100 produces a superb quality sound, with both DAB radio and CD playback. The controls on the radio are easy to use, intuitive and have a real feel of quality, not to mention their is also a remote control provided. There is an adequate sufficiency of nifty functions, including (but not limited to) pause / rewind live radio, and an electronic program guide that allows me to pre-set programmes to come on when they are aired. The Sony XDRS100 also looks good and has been admired and remarked upon by some of our guests over the month or so since we bought it. I would highly recommend this CD / radio to anyone, especially those who are looking for a radio.

- I have not experienced any proper bad points, and these niggles are far outweighed by the good ones. When the radio is on the display provides information about what is playing, I found that I could cycle through display modes to the date / time easily enough, however it doesn’t stay on date / time and will revert back to information about what is playing. I don’t know why I found this niggling as I have a clock on the wall above the radio. Living in rural Scotland we don’t get the strongest reception, and while the Sony radio works exceptionally well on most stations anywhere in the house, one or two DAB stations can get intermittent ‘fuzz’ when situated in certain positions, especially when surrounded by people. I can’t fault the radio for this as all my other radios have suffered the same (hence 10/10), however a connection for roof mounted FM aerial (or the like) might help overcome it which would be a boon. unfortunately such a port is not provided.
