+ Sound quality excellent although some is inevtably lost through wireless. Wired earphones best.
Build quality very good

- General bad points relate to lack of availability of accessories for this unit. There is no radio or speaker docking station. It's ironic that Sony produce the latter for iPods but not for their own equipment.

+ Large clear screen, easy to use, easy to load

- The added expense of the bluetooth earphones!

+ Sound quality is exceptional. Very rich without overdoing bass or treble. Especially with the shipped wired earbuds, which are incidently the best headphones that I had with an MP3 player. Bluetooth is a great feature. I now use my Sony 5.1 system as a stereo via a bluetooth media port that plugs in the back of the system. The 2.0 bluetooth quality is very good and you'd be hard pushed to distinguish between that and wired. I'd really like a bluetooth car stereo now I can see the benefits. The screen is very clear although small - . Battery life is very good. Lasted almost a 2 week holiday listening a couple of hours a day. Really appreciate drag and drop function. For just listening to music, it's about perfect.

- Bluetooth Headphones are dissapointing sound quality, although good battery life in the headset itself. Will probably try to get a better set. The bluetooth signal sometimes drops out if you're wearing a heavy coat or your body gets in the way (I've only experienced this with the headphones). Video and Bluetooth significantly reduce battery life. Software, as ever with Sony is a bit clunky for loading stuff on it, apart from the little widget thing for dragging and dropping tracks which is useful. You can use Windows Media player too but they sometimes have conflicting information on them about your music library where Sony's software doesn't update properly. A few extra features wouldn't go amiss. I know Sony is about sound, but a few more things like music cueing. Not ipod apps or anything! Just useful music things....SONY, get on some firmware updates and make a good little player amazing!!!

+ Long lasting battery, bluetooth although can't use as gives me headache, anatomically friendly soft pad headphones, easy to use, navigate and fill-up, light and slim, good, clear, smooth sound with equalizer.
Considerably better for all the points above than the I-Pod.

- No games, no delete function in Sony, although delete function through computer media programme.

+ Easy and fast selection modes make navigation simple. Good clear screen in most conditions enables precise operation without confusion. Good 'handlable' size, not too big to be intrusive, not too small to be finiky.

- Can't find a dedicated case anywhere!! Could do with a bigger lanyard ring for attaching for security.

+ Its light weight and easy to store. It holds alot of music and the bluetooth compatiblity really helps.

- Its hard to upload video's. The screen scratches easily and at the time there was no case to protect the screen.

+ Ease of hooking up and transferring files.
Small and light weight.
Excellent ear buds.

- Shuffle function is a little annoying. Maybe it is just me?
Transfer software is clumsy. Is easier just to use "my computer"

+ Does everything it says and is straight forward and easy to use and load.

- None that I have found.
