Good points:: It is quite lightweight and has excellent stability to stop the image from shaking. Good resolution
Bad points:: I cannot find a way of editing the 3d into a compatible program to create movies.

Limited playability with file types. Consequently I have to play through the camera. Each clip is not in a file so I cannot break apart and load through my playstation.

Good points:: Stunning 3D video, just like a Blu-ray blockbuster.
Excellent quality stills too.
Switch to SSDD from HDD storage reduced weight considerably (Have the previous top end HDD model).
Waiting for other devices to catch up with 3D support is only reason bad points is so long. The picture is stunning on full HD 3D active shutter TV.
Bad points:: Sony support is rubbish.

PS3 fails to play 3D files copied to its hard drive or burnt to DVD in 3D, 2D viewing only despite PS3 supporting the the AVCHD 2.0 3D video format.

My brand new flagship Sony KDL-55HX853 also fails to recognise the format as 3D. I've tried via DLNA over the network and also the option to attach an external hard drive.

If you want to play 3D video it has to be direct off the camera or a hard drive connected to it. Burning Blu-ray should work but I don't have a burner yet.

Mildly annoying that it doesn't take 3D stills. You also can't take 2D stills while shooting 3D video. In fact 2D and 3D operations including playback and settings are restricted to their seperate modes, selected via a rather stiff sliding selector switch.
