Richard, Blackburn Just point and shoot
- Good points:
- Good quality HD video. Light weight. Easy to operate on full auto.
- Bad points:
- No viewfinder. Zoom, Camera and Mode buttons too close together. Still images could be left off altogether as the results are OK on a TV screen but not worth printing any larger than 4" on the longest side.

Manufacturer's Description
Feature-packed Full HD shooting made simple
“Enjoy up to 5hours Full HD recording on 16GB internal memory and more on optional memory card. Light and easy to carry, it’s packed with smart, easy to use features for shooting, sharing and enjoying crisp HD video and still photos. "
Best Full HD pictures
Move up to the smoothest, most detailed video images you’ve ever seen from a camcorder. 1920×1080/50p mode records at a very high frame rate in progressive mode, capturing 50 Full HD frames every second for extra-clear results.
Walk. Zoom. Steady: Even more stable pictures
Wobbly pictures are a common problem when you’re shooting without a tripod. Optical SteadyShot Active Mode delivers ‘3-way’ camera shake correction at all zoom settings, even when you’re walking along.
Low light, no problem
Many camcorders struggle in low light, producing grainy, fuzzy images. Super sensitive Exmor R™ CMOS Sensor reduces image noise for clearer images. In conjunction with the powerful BIONZ processor you’ll get great results in dim interiors or at dusk.
Project your image anywhere
Sometimes you want everyone to see your video memories, but there’s no TV in the room to hook up with. Now Handycam® lets you project crisp, detailed video clips directly onto any nearby flat surface – from walls and ceilings to a friend’s t-shirt.
Sharing made simple
Don’t keep all those great memories stuck inside your camcorder. A built-in USB arm simplifies PC hook-ups without hunting for cables. PMB Portable software inside Handycam® launches automatically for quick, fuss-free web uploads.
