Kate, London , “I'm a girl”
Score 9.0/10+ I've had many, many phones over the years and I was always a Nokia girl but my previous phone was a Sony Ericsson and I was impressed by how user friendly it was. I wasn't disappointed by the C905 either - it's very stylish, has a BRILLIANT camera and the web browsing and GPRS are good. It's not the lightest of phones - I wouldn't recommend if you're the micro-gadgetry sort, but for anyone wanting a proper phone it's a good size - the screen is big enough to make the most of viewing photos and videos. Would definitely recommend this phone.
- There are a couple of minor criticisms I would make - the memory could be bigger (it comes with only a 2gb memory card) and the battery wears down very quickly. In fairness though, this could simply be more pronounced as I tend to use the phone constantly for web browsing and listening to music. I've noticed that when the battery wears down to red it does seem to last a while before it dies completely. The one other minor flaw is that the screen orientation occasionally fails to change automatically as it should, but then that's a rare occurrence and it's not that much of an inconvenience.

Score 8.0/10+ I went to see Kanye West in concert a couple of weeks ago and the quality of the pictures I took we're very impressive, so the Camera is definatly 1 of the good points. Also the introduction of Google Maps has been helpful and also interesting finding different venues from the globe! Internet speed is also very good.
- The battery life is pretty dissapointing, I need to charge my phone every day, and it seems that taking quite a lot of pictures uses a lot of battery life, and also exploring google maps.

Score 9.0/10+ This is my 2nd Sony Ericsson mobile and a cracking phone it is too. Superb camera which you come to expect and transfer between camera and laptop easy.A host of additional features as well which work fantastic. Considered various phones but if you want phone without sticky fingerprints all over the screen look no further.
- Battery life seems short but a couple of days between charges I can tolerate considering all the work it does.

Score 8.0/10+ The camera on this phone is fantastic. I have a 5 month old baby and have taken some wonderful pictures of her with it, you would never know they were taken on a mobile phone! As it's a Sony Ericsson it's also really easy to use. I don't think I would change to a different make of phone.
- The main problem with the phone is the keypad, the buttons are not prominent enough and it is quite easy to press more than one button at the same time, even though I have really small hands. The battery life on the phone isn't the best, but it does charge really quickly so I don't find that too much of a problem.

Score 5.0/10+ I even cannot find good points. May be rotating pictures? Comparing with my previous 810 cybershot I cannot see much progress. Moreover some things look worse and device is definitely now configured for another ages (teenagers?) then stylish 810.
-
1. Much less flexibility to change display and performance. For instance - messages - they are displayed with first raw of text and I cannot hide this extremely unwanted option. Displaying messages in inbox - the same - not big list but just few of them with start of text. There is some use, but you have to give choice to change it.
2. Less themes, and they are not as interesting and various than in 810!
3. Absence of sleep mode!!!! It was very useful to see time and event (arrival of text or call) on almost black screen without even touching phone. Now only what I can see - completely blind screen - just irritating. Again - no option to change it.
4. Retro design of 810 is better. It was unique and easily cognate. If you position 905 for teenagers - may be OK, but I definitely would prefer 810.
5. CAMERA - the worst thing in 905! For two month I failed to make just one good picture. Bad resolution, no sharpness, one- colour background is never uniform - it composed by visible color spots. Even without comparison with 3.2 camera of 810 - I am extremely unsatisfyed with loudly advertised advanced 8.1 camera.
Thank you

Score 7.0/10+ As with previous cybershot phone camera takes good quaility photso for a phone, although I hve found I often get a blur in corner of picture - not sure if due to light reflection if taking photos when slide phone open. Slide phone design is good and robust. Similar features to K810i
- Keypad is bit stiff and can cause annoyance when trying to text and often stick and multiple letters in same row typed. In text messages words often hang of the end of screen and on a few ocassions (when end of every line has over-hung) have had to used the forward option to get message on screen in order to actually read the text! Annoying that no screen saver clock options(like K810i) so screen just goes to black when in standby so have to activate phone to see if any text mgs calls etc - Only frustrating if you are used to the feature from previous sony ericssons!!!

Score 7.0/10+ The phone is good generally, good features and the camera is good too. The web browsing is good but drains the battery enormously and often cuts out half way thru you doing something
- Really bad battery life, normally have to charge up at least twice a day if you are using for web browsing

Score 10.0/10+ fantastic camera,wi-fi connection basically all the features you would want on a phone.
- the only downside to the phone is with the battery life but it does last longer than the other 8mp hand sets.

Score 10.0/10+ The camera is fabulous and general sony erricson layout is good and something im used to. battery life is good, very easy to transfer photos to computer and works well as a phone. overall very happy and it does what it says on the box.
- The number pad is not great for texting and feels that it might not be up to excessive use but im not a great texter so this isnt important to me. my only gripe is that the key lock is very quick to operate if signal is weak and i find this very frustration and dont seem to be able to turn the key lock off. Quite chunky but what i expected. keys have scratched easily which is disappointing

Score 4.0/10+ Excellent camera, easy to use and looks simple and sleek.
- poor software, keeps stalling and freezing. Camera sometimes wont start up, buttons often dont work. Phone book wont let you spell certain names (some of the letters on the keys dont work!). Takes quite a while to start up. Microphone in handset mode is broken after only 3 months of use, have to use speaker phone all the time. Overall, poor quality.

TechRadar expert review
Packing in a class-topping 8.1-megapixel camera, the Sony Ericsson C905 is the new flagship model in its Cyber-shot cameraphone range.Lined up against recent 8-megapixel sharp-shooting cameraphones from Samsung (the Pixon and i8510) and LG (the Renoir and KC780), the Sony Ericsson C905 comes out fighting with HSDPA 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, A-GPS positioning technology and Sat Nav software onboard. In addition, the user-friendly Cyber-shot camera set-up includes a high quality xenon flash to go with the gadgetry inside. What it doesn't have is the smartphone functionality of the i8510 …

Pocket Lint expert review
Sony Ericsson is looking to capture the world of photography with its latest phone, the C905. Pocket-lint got hands-on with the new camera phone at the UK launch in London. Coming in the common slide form factor, at first glance it is easy to overlook the fact that this phone features a camera, until, that is, you spy the Cyber-shot branding and the camera-specific controls along the right-hand side...
