+ Compact, great features, fantastic images....so so sharp. Carl Zeiss lens as well. Can be a point and shoot or more if you want it to be. Over 400 photos can be stored on a 2GB card at 12 M pixels!!

- Battery does not seem to last as long as my old 6 MP camera, but still more than adequate. Guess that is down to twice the number of pixels. No bag, but it did not say there was, just with a high spec camera for a few pence, it could have been included.

+ the battery life is magnificant if you leave it on charge until after the light indicates it's fully charged. with some tinkering (no image review etc) the battery managed to last the whole of two festivals with some picture reviewing in between.
the picture quality is great once it has focussed; and i am still fascinated as to how it can tell people are smiling to take a picture!
the camera is reasonably light, nothing too chunky that is becomes an inconvience. fits nicely into my clutch back for a night out also!
No need to install software to upload, simply connect the lead and look under My Computer to enter its memory.

- the zoom picture quality can be quite grainy if you are unable to keep the camera perfectly still whilst taking the shot.
the camera can take quite some time to reload as such, in between shots. some special moments were missed!
the dial moves round very easily. i ended up taking about 6 videos on first use, with many "why isn't it taking?" moments.

+ I bought this camera for my 9 year old daughter and I have myself an older digital camera (not Sony). I can absolutly recommend this product, as quality of pictures is very good. It is easy to use and she really enjous this camera.

- Lame attempt of a camera. All shots hideous. Would return to Dixons if I could. Rotten - avoid!!! Had a Sony w50, which was marvellous, but this edition is unbelievably bad.

There are 2 main types of camera: The SLR and the Compact. SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder.
