Good points:: Fantastic to use, my preferred camera, very easy to track wildlife and comfortable on the eyes, video quality is excellent (try and avoid max digital zoom), zoom very powerful (in binocular use), 3D movies are excellent but time is needed to master getting the best out of 3D, an expensive product but it goes everywhere with me. I have let a few bird watchers use the DEV5 and they were very impressed.
Bad points:: When in photo mode digital zoom at max is absolutely useless, it looks like someone has painted the picture, I had difficulty getting the 3D to work, manual was a bit confusing, you can have a 3D viewfinder but that does not mean the camera will record in 3D, shop that sold was also confused, Sonys helpline had no idea what I was talking about. There is lag on the display when moving quickly, still images take quite while to save to SDcard and the DEV5 cannot be used while this is happening. would like to have 3D stills, you may look a little silly or like Luke from StarWars.
