- Good points:
-
I bought the camera for the macro capability and it's brilliant, I have some brilliant close ups of flowers and insects.
The touch screen makes the menus easy to use, I could use the camera without refering to the manual very quickly.
The movie mode is good with clear pictures and sound.
You can automatically take photos when people smile which is fun.
It's even survived being dropped! - Bad points:
-
It came without a memory card and the Sony card I bought for it gave me error messages although it did work. I have another card that works fine now.
Can't think of any bad points about the camera - except that I didn't buy it earlier!

- Good points:
-
Very fast shutter speeds, excellent quality movies..no need to lug a camcorder around anymore.
Brilliant underwater features, works well in makers housing (yes zoom too!) - Bad points:
- Because lens does not protrude it is too easy to block, with fingers

- Good points:
- Touch screen very easy to get used to.
- Bad points:
-
Tendency to block lens with finger. screen hard to see ,in bright sunlight.
Sony's indexing "DSC*****" firmware cannot be altered therefore photo numbers, on PC, will clash with those taken on other Sony cameras....Sony's advice! " save them in a seperate file"......not useful.

Magical movies
Left your camcorder behind? One touch is all that’s needed to start shooting brilliantly crisp, detailed HD 1080i video clips with your Cyber-shot™ camera. Picture quality is brilliantly clear and smooth, while efficient AVCHD video compression keeps files smaller for storing and sharing on your PC.
Better looking pictures made easy
Not sure how to pick the perfect camera settings to suit a particular scene? Don’t worry, help is at hand. Intelligent Auto (iAUTO) mode automatically adjusts exposure and other camera settings for optimum results in a wide range of shooting situations
Pack more into every scene
Dramatic landscapes, architectural shots, interiors and even family scenes can produce disappointing results when a scene gets cut off at the edges. A wide angle lens lets you pack more into the picture without having to stand further back from the subject.
A wider view of the world
Extra-wide landscapes. Fun-filled party scenes where nobody’s left out of the picture. Intelligent Sweep Panorama automatically stitches together a burst of images, creating a single ultra-wide image with a huge field of view. Now even smarter, it can even align frames seamlessly if there are people moving in the
Sensational images, even in low light
Many cameras struggle to produce crisp, clear images in low light. The revolutionary Exmor Râ„¢ CMOS sensor boosts sensitivity while reducing image noise for brilliant, detail-packed pictures.

Score 10.0/10Also ease of switching camera functions, e.g. cater for background lighting, very simple to use. The anti-blur function brilliant with photographing kids on the move. Finally get to capture my sons in active mode and not ending up with blurred features when printing.
The video quality is very good too, have already used the camera many times on our trips out.
