Excellent sound quality
Easy to use.
Can play IPod, Cd, MP3. DAB and FM radio - Bad points:

Speakers separted from the unit. No way of connecting them together.
Everything about the unit is black except the speaker wire which is white!

Radio reception. I was disappointed with the unique aerial which proved inadequate and the fact that there is no co-axial aerial connection. I got this product to replace an older SONY FM product which had worked well with my roof aerial through a co-axial connection. Had I realised I couldn't use this I would not have bought the product. I had to extend the SONY aerial in order to get adequate reception of FM and DAB.
I have several other DAB devices including portable radios and none of them suffer from such poor reception. This is a very big negative with this product which is otherwise very well designed. I don't understand why SONY have been so remiss in what is a fundamental design problem i.e. radio reception.

- Let down by wire aerial - DAB coverage in Lincolnshire is not the best but my DAB alarm gets BBC stations without problem whereas CMT-CX5BIP is hit and miss, also some background noise on FM desoite trying all positions for the wire. Really needs to have an optional upgraded aerial available.
