Score 10.0/10+ Great picture, superb on HD, nice styling.
- Would have liked one more scart socket as we are not all using HD products at the present time otherwise no bad points.

Score 9.0/10+ great package. Excellent for viewing digital photo's as well as TV.
-
stand-by light not by on/off switch! (very minor point)
No FreeSat tuner may become more important in the future.

Score 10.0/10+ Neat functional exterior with picture clarity better than a lot of expensive plasma sets that I have seen. The picture quality comes into its own when watching outside sports broadcasts & nature programmes.
-
Picture breaks up occasionally due to the poor digital signal in our area.
Have been told very expensive to repair.

Score 9.0/10+ Plenty of inputs, unit looks very good, but most importantly the image quality is stunning. I was worried about how well it would cope with a Freeview signal but at a normal viewing distance there's been no problems.
- The speakers are very small and are lacking in bass compared to my old Sony CRT TV.

Score 10.0/10+ Sharp picture, perfect blacks, good sound. Blade Runner on Blu Ray loooks and sounds amazing!
- Clear plastic strip means you have to tidy your cables otherwise it looks messy!

Score 9.0/10+ Fantastic black levels and very easy to set up to achieve this. Smart design overall
- Sound not as rich as it could be. Compared to a plasma there is still something very synthetic about the image but it's probably just the differing technologies.

JOHN, OAKHAM , “MALE 65 YRS OLD”
Score 9.0/10+ Beautifully designed. Visual quality on shows like Skating on Ice are excellent. Clarity and richness of colours are magnificent. Sound is good.
- I have found the manual to be a bit difficult to follow sometimes because of its complex technical jargon. Perhaps that's me - I need an idiot's guide!

Lack of instructions on how to get your other Sony products like you DVD recorder to work along
with the TV.

Score 9.0/10+ Picture, sound and manufacture quality good, we had a Sony TV previously (analogue) and decided to update to digital.
- The Stand is a little wobbly but we did not want to screw through our TV unit to stablise it as was suggested in the instructions, otherwise all OK.

Expert reviews for Sony Bravia KDL32W4000U
TechRadar expert review
Sony traditionally takes the style lead with its upper-class LCD TVs, but the Sony KDL-32W4000 strikes me as quite sombre, although the clear plastic window with the suspended Sony logo is a nice touch. You can even switch off the logo illumination if you prefer. What's more interesting about this TV is the high contrast ratio claim (33,000:1) made for the Bravia Engine 2 processing and Full HD resolution. The impressive specs, combined with Sony's excellent Xross Media Bar interface, make for a very strong package.Hefty LCD This Sony is bulky. It's awkward to wall-mount as the cable…
