Good points:: found this camera very easy to use plenty of good features, to be honest if you can use a compact your there with this fantastic camera..very very pleased..
Bad points:: lens cap can be easily lost but thats it..

Good points:: Great LCD and images.Autofocus quick and accurate.Write times to card good,but program selection via pushbuttons and rear screen sometimes slow in bright sunlight,even with the latest firmware installed,I think a selection wheel would be better.
I have fitted a fold down screen shade which does help,and I recommend it for the Nex-5
So I tend to leave the camera in"Intelligent Auto",which does a great job 99% of the time.Build quality is excellent.Flash a little slow to recycle,but no worse than other similar cameras.All in all,a great camera for taking out,when a DSLR is just too much of burden,but when you still want good,sharp,photographs.
A top quality product from Sony,who are producing some excellent cameras these days,and lead the market now in some areas.
Bad points:: A great all rounder,but menu system is a bit slow to use sometimes,but it does feel a great piece of kit!

There are 2 main types of camera: The SLR and the Compact. SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder. SLR cameras have detachable lenses offering greater flexibility if you wish to take a variety of different photographs.
