Some customer reviews of Solar Panel Heater
Most helpful reviewsTracy, Moreton in Marsh
- Good points:
- Its light and easy to move about therefore getting the most of the sun and not killing the grass.
- Bad points:
- The ends where you attach the hose is fiddly and you need to have direct sunlight inorder for it to work being as its small as cloudy sun wont work. We managed to get the temperature upto 29/30 after 3 consectutive days of sun plus with have a cover and solor cover to. So in the morning the over cover came off to reveal the solar cover and then come lunch time the panel went on as our pool is not in the sun until 12ish.

- Good points:
- It does what it says. I have two conected together, works quite well. does slow the water flow. My top skimer won't work with the flow through the mats (not enough flow.) My pool is 20' x 12' x 4' could use two more.
- Bad points:
- Slows water flow

- Good points:
- warms the pool a bit
- Bad points:
- The main bad points are you need to but a seperate 1 1/4 inch hose to connect it to your pool pump and it's very hard to get the connectors to stop leaking on each end of the pool heater.

Score 10.0/10Connected the solar panel and was amazed at the temperature of the water returning to the pool Have managed to get an additional 4 degrees in the pool during the warmer weather and the kids were delighted.
Little tricky to install the connectors but after that it was plain sailing The valve that comes with it allows me to run the pump and chose when to direct the water through the panel which is great given the changing weather in this country.
My youngest helped with the installation and it was great to see him getting to grips with solar energy..the next generation might just be able so save the planet =)
No electricity bill either to worry about.
Connectors a little tricky. I used some washing up liquid to lubricate them and it was much easier.
