+ Superb image quality. The megacontrast gives an intense range of colours, from black to dazzling white. Gives excellent sharp detail at 1080 (HDMI), when upscaling from DVD (RGB) , and from analogue TV. Speakers are at the rear and give a well balanced and precise sound. (I let the sound bounce back of a glass panel 60cm behind.) Light weight and easy to handle.

- Setting up was tricky, with so many menu options. Maybe some worked examples would have helped, bur it was fun anyway. A detailed specification of the sound system options and interfaces would be useful,

+ Fantastic colours and contrast, excellent at displaying HD sources and does a better job at handling SD than most TV's. The image presets are easily adjusted and are stored according to the input. My PS3 and Freesat HD look great and speaking of gaming, there is no noticable input lag.
This set lacks the 100Htz picture processing that the 700 series has but reading up on sets that have this many people disable it anyway.

- The film mode (24p) is auto set which means you're never actually sure if it's working or not.
As usual sound lets down this LCD tv like most, there is a virtual surround mode but it just makes dialogue hard to hear and explosions and the like too loud so I turn it off.

+ Really, the scores tell it all. We have another 32" from another company (T*****A), so we can compare directly. Most of the enormous difference is the technology, LED back-lighting is so much better than simple LCD which accounts for high Image Quality score, but the Ease of Use score results from the simple menu pull-down structure which anyone who has used a Mac or Windows will find intuitively simple. The sound rating may be a result of the location in the room, but it seems a bit distorted at above-everyday listening levels, like an Opera.

- Truly, one has to work hard to come up with anything - TVs have developed so far that if anything, it is the complexity offered by the choice of input possibilities - could one call that a bad point ?

+ Excellent picture quality and colour rendering. Intensely bright images with the LED and really inky blacks.
Design simple but blends well. Sound much improved. Sharp have completely turned around their image with the quality of this product and is so far removed from previous offerings

- None noted so far - really happy with quality (after looking for 4 years)

+ Easy to setup. Picture is excellent and crystal clear. Deals with Whites and Blacks very well

- Speakers can get a bit rattle on high volume - Not so good for hard of hearing if not investing in a sound system
Picture is too good if you only have normal TV aerial - Def need HD supply
On screen menus have very small text - not good for those with poor eyes

Expert reviews for Sharp LC32LE600E

Expert Reviews expert review

Sharp\'s Aquos LC32LE600E is a full LED-backlit TV, which means that instead of the traditional fluorescent tubes, LEDs are spread across the back of the screen, which gives a more even and generally brighter display. It also reduces power consumption, and the LC32LE600E draws just 72W when on. Even more surprising is that the LC32LE600E is one of the least expensive 32in models we\'ve seen with a Full HD (1,920x1,080) resolution.Sharp refuses to quote a native contrast ratio for its screens, instead quoting the dubious dynamic figure of 2,000,000:1. While contrast was good in our test…

Pocket Lint expert review

Sharp's latest 32-inch LCD TV is an attempt to bring the latest flatscreen tech to the masses, but this bare bones approach won't suit everyone. Because aside from its use of LED backlighting - a genuinely new development in the marketplace at this low price - there's little else about the 32LE600E that will tempt buyers...
