Selwood Square Sandbox

+ NIce big area for the children to play, Ilike the edges that they can sit on.

- It would be better if the ground sheet was attached to the sides. Our patio is slighlty uneven, and the sand is seeping out under the frame. It would also be good if you would recommend how many bags of sand the pit will require - I had to kepp going out for more!

+ A good depth for smaller children to play in safely. Solid wood sides that they can sit on safely if they want to

- Our sand did get wet after in rained

+ Easy build, does exactly what it says in the description. good size for children to get in and out of.

- When you put it together you just wonder what your money went on as not a lot to it.

+ the quality of the wood is excellent and a lovely size for any toddler or child, my daughter askes every evening on getting home if she can go and play in it, even in the rain?

- the base of the sandbox is only tarpaulin which is unsecured, so my husband tacked it to the frame, I would have prefered a proper base

Though it appeared not very deep was actually ample for the children's age - made it easy to get in and out safely.

Needs 10 bags to fill to reasonable depth!

+ Great Sandbox, good size and plenty deep enough. Nicely packaged, wood was of a good quality and came with weedmat base and nice fitted cover, The Sandbox came with detailed assembly instructions, took us 15 minutes to construct. Children love it and my fornds were very impressed with the Selwood Sunshine Sandbox too. Must Buy item in my opinion.

+ Solid Wood, Seating area for Children, Easily assembled.

- Top cover not waterproof! so no point in cover as when rains sand gets wet and chieldren cannot play until dried out. I would expect better for the cost.

+ Deep enough for small children. Comes with ground sheet and cover which is good.

- Don't get much for your money. Only a ground sheet as a base.

+ It's a nice size, big enough for three toddlers to play in quite happily together.

- There's no bottom, just a thin loose liner which means it gets moved easily by little people and then the sand escapes and the bugs come in! Also takes a lot of sand to fill - we used more than 10 15kg bags! And the wood is poor quality and badly finished so it splinters easily - not such a great idea for toddlers...

+ Easy to put together. Nice little seats. Good size.

- Gaps in corners. Lid lets in rain. Expensive.

+ Big enough for our two year old and one (two at a push!) of us to play together
