+ To use this tv properly you need a high definition source and you get one of the best pictures on the market today.Easily setup,plenty of inputs to cover every source from computers to bluray players and more.

- The only bad point is the sound from the internal speakers.but if you are paying for such a good picture it has to be connected to a hi fi or surround system.

- None. I've read some reviews that complain about the sound but given the size and location of the speakers I found the sound quality amazing. I'd recommend buying the TV and testing it for yourself before splashing out on a home theatre set up as 95% will realise they can live with out the extra cost

- Sound quality, although good, is very tinny with no Bass
The auto darken feature built in to the TV can't be switched off (unless you use Game-Mode) which causes the screen to visibly darken (you can see the backlights fade) on credits for instance or darker sections of films.
The stand is flimsy - the TV doesn't feel very sturdy when attached, probably due to it's thinness.

+ It's a stylish piece of technology that any household looking to replace their current TV should seriously consider. Does exactly what it says on the box and more! Teamed with the Samsung Blu-Ray player and DVD recorder, it's certainly gives any room the 'WOW' factor!

+ it is so super slim, and the look is beautiful. you able to switch the tv off via the remote. the picture quality is fab, the hd channels on sky is mind blowing.

- there is no actual speakers and the speakers are intergrated and therefore is not very good. i will have to get additional speakers

+ Gorgeously slim! The picture quality is fantastic with its wide contrast ratio. Menu is straight forward and just a little (if any) calibration is needed for regular viewing. The internet widgets are helpful though very limited and overall quite sluggish to load (wired connection). The DNLA capability allows streaming of files over the network from a computer but formats supported are a bit of a hit/miss. Excellent selection of ports.

- A bit expensive compared to the other 40 inchers in the market - but (at present) none beats it at being so slim!
Sound is sub par, but I suppose if one is really into home cinema, you would have a separate sound system.

+ Amazing picture quality, perfectly suited for HD viewing. Sound is not bad, surround sound for films is essential, especially with HD.
Simple set up, factory settings are good but can be tweaked easily.

- Has an ethernet port, but not wireless enabled, you need to buy a dongle.

- VGA socket rather than DVI for PC connectivity.
Some VGA cables wont quite fit as the space around the connector is very limited.
Only audio output is optical so if you want any sound for, say, streaming media, you need a sound system or amp with an optical connector. Would have been far more convenient for me for it to have analogue audio, especially as it mostly only outputs stereo anyway.

+ Great TV, very modern and sexy looking, makes most other TVs look so out of date. I aso bought a LG Blu Ray Player and the picture quality is out of this world! Watched The Wrestler and I thought I had Micky Rourke in my Living Room!

+ The picture quality is excellent and samsung seems to have finally overcome the sound weakness which existed in most of its televisions. Since buying this television, I have not yet used my home cinema system to improve the sound quality. The overal design is very sleek and functions are relatively easy to access.

- I have not yet been able to connect my computer to the TV wirelessly or to access the internet via the TV. I understand that an extra device is needed to do this which was not mentioned when I bought this model and I was led to expect that you can connect your laptop to the TV effortlessly. The manual is sometimes a little difficult to follow.

+ Great looking television, excellent picture quality had difficulty setting up my Sky+ box (5 years old now) to the back despite buying leads decided in end to upgrade to SKY+ HD to use scart leads so fantastic HD picture. Have set TV on mount (Cantilever) the thin design certainly makes room look a lot bigger. Easy to install.
Overall fantasic TV

- The sound if anything is poor, will have to purchase surround sound system to make full use of the TV. Other than the sound no other bad points.

Can't find a way of connecting my sterio for a better sound.

+ This TV is really sleek: only 2.99 cm thick! The sound is great and picture quality very good and will get even better once the Sky HD box is fitted. We love the little "pebble" remote control too. Really pleased we bought this model. And 40inches is big enough for us!

- the sound isnt the greatest in the world, but is still good. Noticed that when you play a film through a dvd/blu ray player and your sound system is hooked up to an external sound device (optical), the sound come's out before the picture creating a split second lag time.

+ Lovely looking tv, very sharp images, especially when watching a blu-ray.

- hdmi lead is visible at side when plugged in, but lots of people would probably mount this tv on a wall so maybe not a problem then.

+ Love the fact it reads avi and mp4 files direct from the usb port and the external drive used to connect these files is an ntfs formated file system means that I don't have to copy files over to fat32 every time (like on xbox360). Pictures great and setup is easy. Buttons on the remote are big for so this blind chap with fat fingers isn't left fustrated when trying to use them.
There has been some negativity around the sound but to be honest it isn't too bad. If you are looking for top notch sound quality you need to get an external sound device (i.e. surround sound system, etc) as you would with pretty much any tv you buy.

- Bit of a shame that the wireless network dongle is sold seperately because my router is on the other side of the room and connecting the lan cable work have me run it past doors and windows etc. Minor issue as I am really chuffed with my purchase. It seems to achieve all I expected.

+ Good points include beautiful styling, numerous ports for different equipment, eq xbox 360, wii, DVD player, satellite receiver. Alot of people say that the sound is not very good, I would not agree, ok you cant play it on high volume, and i have never needed to, but it certainly doesnt need a cinema sound system to make it worth using. There is no noticeable xbox 360 lag from this set which is great. Was a concern when I went to buy it, but didnt need to worry.

- I would say that it could do with analogue audio out, as it only supports optical audio out, for me its not an issue as the sound is fine without it, but would be nice to have, so not really a bad point just a niggle (I dont have optical output on my Denon)

+ Lovely picture, great user interface, and I love the way you can stream movies straight to the TV from your PC. Wish Samsung would create software for my mac though!

- The sound. You really have to put it on full blast sometimes (especially when playing movies on DVD), and its quite tinny.

+ Good looking TV with some very nice, useful features. We mostly use it to watch TV, but the DLNA feature was essential to us.

- The A/V Input only recognises a device if there is a video signal present. This means we can not simply plug the audio-out of my iPod intot the A/V input as we used to do with our old tv. The youTube widget is nice, but searching for video clips is rubbish. The search only seems to perform exact match on what you type, which is rather limiting.
