+ The ammount of dirt it lifted from my carpet..which had looked like new before hand. It is a brilliant hoover and cleaning the parts are easy

- When you remove the dust container you get dust on the hoover body, the flex starts low down so you have to hold it as you hoover. I would have prefered a smaller stair cleaning nozzel .....also the hoover can tip over

- too light - when using attachments the hoover always falls over. not powerful enough. although it should have edge to edge cleaning, this is pretty poor.

+ Excellent suction. Easy to empty. Long flex.

- Have owned a 1600W, same design, previously. Difference and disadvantage with the 1800W is that dust etc moves to bottom section of the removable dust collection cylinder, making it more difficult to clean. This rarely occurred with the 1600W. Not sure whether this is due to the fact that the dust collection cylinder does not fit so tightly into place as in previous model.

+ Very easy to use and quite light weight. Long cable length so reaches every where almost. Great that you can clean everything (filters etc)

- The dust compartment is a little bit small so requires frequent emptying.
