Good overall product once you have corrected all the manufacturers faults (see below)

- Sound is a bit tinny.
The power leads became faulty after 24 hours, started crackling when touched. Fortunately I had another spare lead from another appliance which worked perfectly.
The TV tilt operation did not work (permanently tilted backwards) and TV was slightly slanted. After much deliberation I discovered that the rubber gasket (pre fitted in the factory) which holds the vertical stand pillar to the TV had been installed upside down (numpties!). Refitted the correct way and tilt operation and level were perfect.
Good telly but poor attention to detail by Samsung.

+ This seems to be more of a computer monitor but is sold as a tv.

- Picture is disappointing compared with Toshiba and Sony. The picture changes brightness/contranst depending on the vertical angle you view. We have the tv mounted on the wall in the kitchen and watch it when moving about or sitting down.

- Might just be picky, but this samsung doesn't have the sleep function button on the actual remote, you have to go into the menu of the tele to activate it every night.

+ I am so glad that I chose this TV, I was undecided between this and another cheaper model to try to get the inbuilt DVD for the same cost, but it was my daughter that convinced me and reminded me that quality is what matters. This TV is a stunning model and the picture is the best I've seen on a TV this size. It really pays to go for the 1080p as the colours and images are sharp and add to the viewing experience. For the bedroom this is fab, it is sleek and has a tilt mechanism so the picture is sharp whatever your angle. I set this up in about 5 minutes!

- Only bad point would be the sound, it suffices for bedroom but would need speaker/surround system if it were to be used in a larger room.

- Only thing, needs a little more Bass from the speakers, but not enough of a problem to loose any sleep over.
I'm even thinking of getting another for the bedroom.
