- TV tuner picture disappointing. If you want a good TV picture via tuner suggest a Samsung T220HD or T240HD which give a better picture (even though the T220HD is not full HD)

+ A friend of mine recommended that I buy this model his has been excellent.

- The Samsung 2333HD that I received was not working correctly, I contacted customer services, on the phone and was constantly told by answer phone message to take it back to the store from which I had purchased it, no good to me I had purchased it online, finally after 25 mins messing about I got through to a Dixons representative, who then informed me I had to contact Samsung, which I did, and after another 30 minutes of waiting and informing a Samsung Engineer as to what was faulty I was given a unique Samsung Number that I had to give to a Dixons Customer Service Representative. So I again rang Dixons and the Rep I spoke to ( who was brilliant, in calming me down after nearly 1hr 30 mins of phoning around, thanks ) organised the pick up of the non working Samsung 2333HD, this was on Monday 12th October, it was picked up within 3 hours of my phone conversation, I am now awaiting the delivery of the replacement Sansung 2333HD, I would be very pleased if someone would check and email me asap as to when I might receive. I understand you do not have much control over the delivery of a faulty items, but the experience I went through of trying to get it replaced was and ordeal. I have always purchased Samsung products and this is the first time I have ever had any problems with them. Please advise as to when I will receive the replacement.

- Underneath the base there are some sharp metal protrusions that will scratch a table top if it's dragged! So, it must be lifted before moving. This is due to the base being a little too flimsy! The older Samsung bases never had this problem.

- I use this both as a tv and computer/xbox monitor. Sound not best, a bit tinny, but ok for my needs. When I first got it (the first week) a few times the tv channel settings were lost and a I had to re-tune. This happened at least twice. I was a bit worried but it hasn't happened again since (been 3 weeks now).

- Using the remote control is difficult, as I already own a Samsung 32" LCD TV and a Samsung DVD recorder. Changing channels of the input on one device, also changes the channels and inputs on the other devices that you have.

- Image quality is very poor indeed. You need a PHD to set up the TV. The clever instructions fail to give you the all essential PIN number - well done guys! I had to return two of the tvs for being faulty - a sound fault on both and a screen image fault on one. I will never buy Samsung again. A complete joke. Surely companies should try a bit harder for our custom, expecially in the current climate??!

+ I am enjoying my new tv. As a non technical person, my tv was set up by a friend who said it was easy enough to do. It is light in weight and easy to move around. It only takes a fraction of the room of my old tv. The picture is very good and the sound is much easier to regulate to your own needs.

+ Did a bit of searcing around on the web and you tube to get reviews on his TV, and all seemed very good, looked in comet and currys and dixons was the cheapest by £50 so ordered and had it delivered 2 days as requested. Easy set up and excellent picture quality run my sons PS3 through it and the graphics are suberb, have the ps3 going through a rocker chair so no need to worry about the speakers. Excellent buy and excellent TV

- Sound quality from onboard speakers is as light-weight as others suggest, so much so that I don't use the onboard speakers. A much bigger gripe for me is the 10-15mm black border you get around the edge of the screen if you connect a PC using a DVI-HDMI lead (make sure you set the HDMI input to "PC" in the menu setup otherwise the picture quality will be poor). I contacted Samsung about the black border and here is their response; "In this case we would recommend you connect the unit directly into the DVI connection on the back of the monitor. The HDMI connection is designed to be connected directly to HDMI. You can still obtain theresolution of 1920x1080 using DVI-D and this will rescale correctly". This would be fine only I wanted to watch Blu-Ray movies from my PC and DVI won't carry the Blu-Ray signal. So, if I want to watch Blu-Ray without black borders, I have to use a VGA cable which means messing about with cables and is slightly defeating the purpose of buying this HDMI monitor. Presumably, if you have the latest graphics card with HDMI output, then you won't have this issue.
