Samsung RL34SCP Reviews: Frost Free, Standard, Multi fridge freezer

+ Frost free, good capacity, pretty on the outside. Dont know about energy consumption.

- Gets empty quickly and you have to fill it up yourself ;)

+ Colour nice. Good value interms of price. Seems to chill the food nicely and quickly.

- Can be a little noisy although nothing to dire. The freezer shelves are poorly desingned and is a struggle to get things out from them.

+ I like the size and the capacity of the Fridge Freezer - the shelves are a good size than the freezer really efficient.

- I would like to have had an option in white - the silver absorbs a lot of the natural light in my kitchen. It is also quite noisey - which is irritating and a very small design point - I would change the handles - as they are integrated in to the frame of the door - you have to stand straight on to the f/f - akward if you position it next to a wall as I have done.

+ nice sleek design. good fridge capacity with 3 drawers being more than enough for the freezer capacity.good size for couply home.

- Creates a lot of heat which is transferred to the adjoining cupboards. Freezer drawers don't come out far enough. Fridge door doesn't self close (if you don't push it hard enough it stays ajar or swings open)

Fridge has to be set on least cold setting as vegetables ice up in chiller drawer at bottom otherwise. Will be speaking to Samsung about this.

- It seemed to take several days to get the temperature down to an acceptable level. The description and design layout in the handbook shows the icecube tray in the fridge. This is totally inappropriate - it needs to be in the freezer to get the ice to freeze, as the temperature in the fridge is not below zero.

+ Bought this product to go in my extension as it's got a dual thermostat and it has proved to be excellent at keeping food chilled so far :-) Frost free has worked well so far, unlike many so called 'frost free' freezers which then require defrosting...

- I would have preferred slightly higher capacity in the freezer compartment

+ I love the space as I was using an undercounter fridge before and this holds so much more. Its relatively easy to keep clean.

- Not sure on the power consumption yet as only had it a month. It kept buzzing loudly when the compressor kicked in which seemed to be a bit too often however it took a while but I figured out that its slightly uneven hence the buzzing :)

- The only black mark is the split between fridge and freezer capacity. Samsung is not alone, all manufacturers have the design flaw. I refer to a maximum of approx 3.5 cubic feet for the freezer and around double that for the fridge. Couldn't manufacturers include a model within a range where there was a split of fridge and freezer storage something approaching fifty-fifty split. Not everyone requires a large fridge section, and a bit more freezer space comes in handy, without having to buy a stand alone freezer.

+ No handles on the front of the door, so it looks quite sleek. Good capacity.

- It's a little noisy, we're now used to it, but its certainly louder that our last fridge.

+ This is an excellent low energy consumption fridge freezer, which is more than ample for a family of four. There is very little noise and the self-defrost is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone.
