+ Great netbook. V ery pleased with it. I did buy it though just for use of the internet and documents.

- It does, however, take a while to load up every time you turn it on, which can be a bit frustrating if you are in a hurry to look something up. Not yet sure about XP - pop up after popup! Although I do understand why they chose it.

+ Everything about the machine is great, light, good size keyboard, stylish, excellent build quality, screen res is outstanding.
And the battery lasts a looong time.
I've added extra ram to mine and it's a real little flyer.
There's no optical drive but how often do you use one these days. I've bought a stand alone cd/dvd combo drive that I can use when needed.
there are 3 usb slots and a card reader so moving large amounts of data elsewhere is not a problem.

- Couple very small niggles, the touch pad would maybe benefit from being a little wider and there's no defined edge to it so your finger can wander off and you have to keep looking down.
It only comes with 1 gig of ram, not a real problem as replacing it with 2 gig was a doddle. With the price of ram so low Samsung shouldn't be so mean, they should have fitted 2 as standard.

+ A very neat design which makes a netbook feel no different from a laptop. The screen is much larger than other netbooks so there is less need for scrolling or straining the eyes. The processor and graphics are substantially better than the Atom used in almost all other netbooks. For most people, the convenience of a well designed smaller machine with adequate power and a long of battery life is far preferable to the average laptop.

- Brilliant for everyday use, but not really powerful enough for a lot of graphics. The loudspeakers are tinny and we use some extra ones. Rather expensive and not a great deal cheaper than quite a good laptop.

+ Well worth the extra money for the 12 inch screen. Initial setup allows you to resize the disk into 2 partitions and Samsung also supply a utility to take a backup copy of the system partiton at any time.

- Supplied case is very thin but does protect against scratches

+ The NC20 is extremely portable, whilst having a screen size that is large enough for extended on-line use. The design is simple and stylish, whilst having a high standard of build quality.

- The speakers being underneath mean that the sound can become muffled, depending on the surface on which the the NC20 is placed. For those adjusting from a full-size laptop, the key spacing and travel can take a bit of getting used to. The mouse pad also seems small at first, these are not points that unduly impact on the overall user experience.

+ Fantastically portable with excellent battery life and minimal noise as there is no fan. All round, a great little laptop.

- Silly small thing, but all the shiny surfaces (screen and outer cover) are always covered in finger marks and the shift key for the right hand side is a little oddly placed. Tiny issues - nothing else comes to mind at all.

+ It's small, lightweight and super compact. Love it... Very cute and fast, it does everything I need it to. From my point of view I only need it for the basics but I couldn't fault it at the price I paid. I mostly use it connected to power so not sure about battery life just yet. Keyboard is a great size.

- Didn't realise when buying that it's an oversized net-book and therefore doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. That's probably my onlu criticism! Would definitely recommend this.
